Lich Path
I'm wondering what those of you that have done it have based your build on.
Currently I'm a vanilla sorcerer with arcane bloodline, however I'm going to respec since picked a spell I don't want.
I'm playing on Hard.

Liches combine well with arcane casters due to the merged spellbook option. This can give you a decent power spike with extra Caster Levels. Other paths arguably make better casters due to being able to reach higher effective DCs (which are not tied to caster level).

I'm currently running a Curoromancer (or however that is spelled) who specializes in Summoning and Necromancy. It's working out pretty well on Core. It would likely fall apart on Hard and Unfair.

Liches also have some pretty decent melee tricks. I'm not as familiar with them, but I know they exist. :D

The only reason I picked sorcerer instead of a wizard was because Charisma shared between spellcasting and replacement for CON when transforms into a lich, however I'd rather be a wizard with more spells
Sorcerer only gets new spells every other level it seems and sometimes you'll pick a spell you regret picking later
Hard can be fun because you're almost forced to use all those consumables that pile up later on - early on in Kenabres at least.
I've turned it down to Core on a battle or two so far, water elemental is one - you get one hitted over and over and its done in about 20 seconds. I like a challenge and Core gets a little easy at times

That's a solid reason to go Sorc. You can still get a decent Cha as a Wizard but it's not as useful early. For example, my starting stats were:

12 Str
16 Dex (+2 racial)
7 Con (Yes, I dumped Con. No, I don't recommend it)
19 Int (+2 racial)
10 wis (-2 racial)
14 Cha

I regularly enter battle with a bit more than my max hp in temp hp and end the fights with 3 to 4 times my max hp in temp hp.

Then again it can be argued that if your Lich is a caster HP wont matter as much as you're not on the front lines. Idk I'm torn about this
Still playing somewhat of a "good" guy guess you don't have to be a totally evil lich
Though I wish I could sacrifice Seelah since she's leaving later anyway.

When you finally transform into Lich, do you get a strength bonus? I know in old school dnd liches had 18 strength or something.
Also, do you lose the abilities of whatever mythic path you were on before?

Your stats aura will work for you, but you get -2 to stats because of sacrifice. Anyway it's a net +.

The Lich has access to enough temporary health that CHA functionally doesn't matter, most of your spells have tempHP life leech.

Hex channeler witch here, with nearly everything geared towards either channeling or Necromancy spells. He's a very good healer but also does tons of damage, only his rays have trouble hitting (playing on Core).

I switched to Wizard Spell Master
Figured screw the bonus spells you get extra spells mythic later anyway

I'm not sure what you mean. If you pick Lich, the only path switching is to Gold Dragon, Legend, or Swarm that Walks. Unless I have misunderstood the Mythic Path system.

Unless you are talking about the power you choose from your first Mythic Hero level. You keep that no matter which Path you choose at MR3.

Well I only ever did the Azata path so I don't know how the others work.
For instance, you can only pick Angel, Azata or Demon first right?
Raikon May 21, 2023 @ 9:43pm
Angel, Demon, Azata, Trickster, Aoen, Lich.

For the first mythic path you can pick other than angel, demon, or azata?
I thought the others don't come til later
If the case I'd rather pick Aon first

No, first choices are Aeon, Angel, Azata, Demon, Lich and Trickster. It's Legend, Swarm, Devil and Dragon that you have to unlock later.

Just that Aeon, Azata, Trickster and Lich require you to have done some story actions whereas Demon and Angel are always available (or rather you're forced into doing the story actions tied to them).

Right...and finding the wand for Lich is not until before this happens correct?
So I could pick Lich and something else later - legend, dragon, swarm
I'll following the "guide" for Lich so hopefully I don't miss anything
Not much out there still for this, the Fextralife page is one
