That was it yeah thank you, didn't see the barbarian has a chaotic prerequisite.
Yeah, certain classes are alignment-restricted - other examples would be Shifters and Druids (need to be Neutral on at least one axis) or Monks (need to be Lawful).
Keep in mind that if you slip out of required alignment due to your in-game choices, you won't be able to level up in your chosen alignment-restricted class until you:
- shift back by making proper dialogue choices ( can be time consuming)
- use Scroll of Atonement (they're available from chapter 3 and there is limited amount of them)
- respec
Also, when planning your character, consider which Mythic Path you want to choose - for example, Barbarian would clash with Aeon (needs to be Lawful).
His alignment conflicting with his deity's shouldn't be an issue unless he is a divine caster.
Curiously, I've just tried to create Asmodeus-worshipping Instinctual Warrior and while I was incorrect about Chaotic requirement (barbarians just can't be Lawful), the deity-related alignment restriction is very real - the only alignment I was allowed to choose after picking Asmodeus was NE.
