personally i think all the season 1 DLC are ok, but season 2 is somehow a let down so far ( last sarkorian)
also right now season 1 pack and commander pack are both at 70% so you can blindly take them at such discount. i'd wait on season 2 tho.
If you apreciate rogue-likes, Treasure of the Midnight Isles will tick off all your boxes. If you want something to do post-game, Inevitable Excess. If you like low level campaigns, Through the Ashes fulfills this criteria. And if you want a sizeable amount of new content for the main campaign and also like to have more classes available, then the Last Sarkorians will do it for you.
I love Ashes and can't wait for its sequel (next DLC) but it features a seperate mini-campaign you play with a different main character. So its not essential, but I liked it.
The DLC actually fits into the main story quite well. You get some more facts about the backstory of the Midnight Isles and learn about Nahyndri, the first demon lord Nocti dumped. Considering that the game is all about the Nahyndri Crystals, that's not uninteresting.
But you're right, of course, the focus here is less on the story.
Season Pass 1 = DLC 1 + 2 + 3
1= Inevitable Excess
2= Through the Ashes
3= The Treasure of the Midnight Isles
Season Pass 2 = DLC 4 + 5 +6
4= The Last Sarkorians
5 and 6 are not out yet.
Ah, this is exactly what I wanted to see; dunno why they can't just put that in the description.
Thanks!
In the description for Season Pass 2:
DLC #4
Here comes a new companion for the Knight Commander's party and a new playable class: the everchanging shifter! Bolster your party with a reliable brawler, capable of taking on the aspects of various wild beasts. Delve into the lost secrets of Old Sarkoris. And who knows? Maybe you will even find new love, one transcending time itself.
Description of /'Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - The Last Sarkorians" doesn't mention it's DLC #4. It does mention "shifter" and a Sarkorian who survived, but why leave it nebulous when you can just add an extra sentence to the description?
It's a lot easier when companies cross-refer products like this:
"Season Pass 2 includes Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - The Last Sarkorians"
In the season pass 2 description and
"(The Last Sarkorians) is included in Season Pass 2".
in The Last Sarkorians description
Yep, there is a mention of "Sarkorians" in one and "Sarkoris" in the other, so theoretically one could tie them together, but I could say "Dungeons and Dragons DLC" and a DLC that "has a Dragon" and they could be completely unrelated.
It's a common miss-step by game publishers to make one jump through hoops instead of spelling it out simply and immediately...especially the publishers who have season passes and DLC that doesn't go into season passes. Not a sin but...suboptimal.
