Stuck on Jeslyn in Grey Garrison
Hi all, my party is lv5. I'm using chokepoints and grease heavily to mow down mobs, it works great

Near the top of the grey garrison there's an evil elf named jeslyn with lots of minions. Her minions are just meat to me, really no problem. But the problem is, she casts Plague of Insects, summoning three locust swarms

Each one of them is ABSURDLY strong, they just mow down my party, instakilling anyone they touch with crazy damage output. Naturally they fly over the grease, and i struggle to even hit them with some flasks of fire before they get into melee, i cant seem to throw enough to kill them. Whats going on with these things, and how can i survive such crazy damage?

My party is currenly
MC: Demondancer skald with glaive, good frontliner
Seelah with tower shield
Daeran with shield and medium armor
Woljif doing his stabbing (he cant put out enough damage to kill jeslyn before she casts though)
Nenio for battlefield control, she has all my AOE debuffs
Wendaug with a longbow, honestly my main DPS

I could win this fight easily like so many others if it werent for those locusts. I just cant seem to kill jeslyn fast enough to prevent the summoning, and they are unstoppable once they get out

halp

only way i could figure to kill swarms is with aoe damage. if you don't have aoe damage, you need to get some. specificially fire, such as burning hands or a good ol fireball.
later on, when finnean becomes a +3, he adds force damage to his attacks which can also damage swarms, but the damage is small, like 6-8 damage per hit and swarms can have upwards of 400HP later.

also, swarms are much easier to deal with in turn based mode/ frankly swarms in rtwp are BS

Hi there.

This was my last approach to her, summon some skeletons to bait her companions to one side of the table. With haste casted on the party, send them directly toward Jeslyn and wiper hero out. Some of the cambions will remain with her, but still she fell fast enough as to deal with them without too much problem. The time she take to buff herself seem longenough as to engage her before she summon the locusts.
Before Jesly fall, all the traits, abilities and spells should be for attack, not defense posture, or abilities that imrpove damage but recude attack chance to hit. I wouls set Nenio to some auto cast damage spell, check if Seelah have more attack chance withouth the shield, and so on.
If that does not work, may i suggest a few grease spells cast on her; if possible in a way that some space is free for your characters to engage withouth danger.
If nothing of these work for you, perhaps some details on your choosen abilities and spells could help us to design some way for you to defeat her.

Hope this help you
Have fun

Or ignore everything and nab him first. Depend on build and composition.
If you have bursty char like Cavalier with Spirited Charge or Vital Strike dude - focus that on BBEG and have him gone in 2 turn.
Otherwise, have Ember spam Scorching ray on him. You couldn't go wrong with that.

If you have the Dark Veil Item, you can ignore all the ranged adds. If Seelah has a mount, you can rush Jeslyn down and then follow up with Woljif for sneak attack damage. If Jeslyn dies the swarms de-spawn. If you have any ranged touch attack magic, spam those on Jeslyn too.

Welp, thanks guys, these were quick responses!
In the end I decided to just go for the decapitation strike, and I managed to land Stinking Cloud on her on turn 2. She wasted her first turn on divine favor, and never got another after that :O
