Is so bad. It's got to be the worst soundtrack of all CRPGs history, seriously.

The game is great, awesome, but I can't stand that big choir type of music anymore. That endless Drezen fight got the best of me. I think there's only one song I like, the one at the Defender's heart.

I still remember the soundtrack of Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2 and DOS2. I was expecting the same type of relaxing atmospheric music. It is a huge disapointment to me. There's one particular song that plays everywhere and I think it's 30-second long at best. It keeps looping and looping and it ends with kind of a big crescendo of Tenor guys....man I HATE it to the guts.

Is there a mod out there ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ?

I am rather fond of the tracks myself. My favourites being the Swarm's (The Hunger Eterna) and the Demon's ( Succumbing to Rage) theme. As well as Facing the Faceless Sphinx, which plays in Nenio's quest. Totally my jam.

But if they don't meet your fancy, then you could always mute the ingame music and open spotify instead.

Personally I like the music. I especially like that each path gets a theme.
Admittedly if you don't like the theme for your path it could make it harder to play it. I wasn't fond of the Aeon theme for the character I was playing on it. But whenever I heard the Trickster theme pop up I knew something fun was about to happen...

oh, there are different tracks according to your Mythic path ?? that's awesome, I did not know that. I'm a demon so, I guess it's not gonna be the relaxing type of music ahaha

Yeah, each mythic path has its own theme and it eventually will take over as the home base theme. I'm fond of the Aeon one myself. It's rather calm and soothing.

Oh, I turn off music in every rpg, as there was no walkman available . Gothic had a fun concert of a medieval "band" with medieval songs.

I would rather have my bard sing acutally songs.

One of Kingmaker's highlights was singing a toasting song amongst drunken goblins. That was such a banger.

Not to beat a dead horse with an old thread but I just wanted to add that I also find the music in this game trite and annoying. So tired of the overblown orchestral tropes. It's honestly the worst part of the game.

I will never understand why this is even a big deal (or why this had to be necro'd). Turn off the music in the settings and play whatever you want on Youtube/Spotify/whatever.

This game has plenty of legitimate things to criticize, but it is an easy fix if the OST is not your cup of tea.

The song can change to adjust to the tone of the game, it adds up to the atmosphere a lot and i don't want a song from another game to play because it feels so odd. OST should be subject to review like any other feature of a game.

I agree music is meant to make the game, but I would mute it in a heartbeat if it was getting on my nerves.
