Dumb question: How does master shapeshifter benefit my companions with pets?
I'm playing on somewhere between normal and the next difficulty, following the builds in neoseeker.

Mythic level 3 for Seelah, Camellia, and Regill is master shapeshifter. How does this benefit them? Or is this for mounted combat?

Admittedly, Wrath is too complex for me as a first timer, and I didn't wan to spend too much time trying to figure out correct builds and such. Ergo, I just checked builds on neoseeker.

master shapeshift works in that when you transformed with a polymorph spell your stats are adjusted higher...

"Benefit: Whenever you are become the target of a polymorph effect, all the physical ability scores adjustments are modified by +4. Additionally, if you have the Wild Shape ability, you can use it any number of times per day."

meaning if you give them something like legendary proportions....

"Spell Effect: You call upon the primordial power of ancient megafauna to boost the size of your target. Because of its connection to living creatures of the distance past, the spell does not function on outsiders, undead, and summoned creatures. Your target grows to legendary proportions, increasing in size by two categories. The creature's height doubles and its weight increases by a factor of 12. The target gains a +6 size bonus to its Strength score and a +4 size bonus to its Constitution score. The target gains +6 size bonus to its natural armor, and DR 10/ adamantine. Melee and ranged weapons used by this creature deal more damage."

then the master shapeshifter feat would add to the benefits and instead of gaining the normal +6 strength, +4 constitution from legendary proportions... you'd be gaining a +10 strength, +4 Dexterity, +8 constitution to your stats.....

Usually on Neoseeker its to get the +4 stat bonus. If you put a spell like animal aspect you'll get the bonus even if you aren't shapeshifted.

Keep in mind that Neeoseeker builds are designed for Unfair difficulties. Which means they have no other consideration other than abusing the game as much as possible for the maximum benefit at the expense of roleplay, lore or fun. (Yes I know some players find fun in that too)

For a first time player on Normal difficulties, you'll usually do just fine picking whatever seems cool for you. Use it as a general guide instead of a bible.

Unless they changed it recently, spells like enlarge person and legendary proportions didn't trigger master shapeshifter. Animal Aspect spells didn't either although I know that was reportedly fixed recently. It does work with other shape changing spells like elemental form, dragon form, etc. It also works with Kitsune changing into a human shape.

Yeah, I tried to pick the variety that sticks to their initial classes as much as possible.

So the idea of master shapeshifter is for legendary proportions? Basically, I'm investing a "sorta dead" feat onto something I can get at a later portion right? I believe this spell is at spell level 7.

if you want... cRPG bro youtube channel has a lot of builds and such for companions... I like to watch his videos and just copy builds I like that he does onto a text document so I can just alt tab each time my companions level.... plus side is how the breaks down a lot of what he does and how it works so things like this are not so confusing....

like check out his video on Seelah for instance... the one thats called "PF: WOTR ENHANCED - SEELAH Build: FULL DPS + SMITES & 90+ AC HORSE Tank!"... thats the video I referenced for how I build my Seelah...

I havent really used it personally but I know that there are other forms of polymorph it works with as well.... kitsune human form... ice body... frightful aspect... fiery body.... not sure what others it would work with...

Yeah they added polymorph tag to a bunch of spells with the shifter dlc update. It makes alchemist an even better buffer with animal aspects

I refuse to give any traffic to YouTubers. If he wanted my ad revenue he would put in the description the exact text document you manually made. Then he'd get 1 view at least. As it is, screw crpgbro I shall never use him.

Also he turns everyonw into a pet oh joy 6 per classes

Yea I am bit confused too about this Mythic 2: Extra Mythic Ability: Master Shapeshifter.
This build is not Unfair recommended and i cant find anything in this build that will get me those extra stats if i dont have alchemist in party.

1:Paladin build. https://www.neoseeker.com/pathfinder-wrath-of-the-righteous/builds/Seelah#Paladin

Edit: At the same lvl i did took Master Shapeshifter on my Dual scimitars Demonslayer main, because he can easly cast Animal Aspect on himself. It last verry long so it make sense i guess. But i still cant find to make use of it on Seelah.

I would assume it's based on either having woljif as an alchemist so he can cast animal aspects on anyone, or from using scrolls

Just did a bit of testing. Master Shapeshifter still is not working with Enlarge Person/Legendary Proportions. It is now working with Aspect of the Falcon/Wolf/Bear as well as the Animal Aspect spells as well as, (huge surprise) Blessing of the Salamander, as well as many of the self and other polymorphing spells as I had access to (didn't have a Geniekind or Frightful Aspect scroll at the time).

master shapeshifter shouldnt work with enlarge person or legendary proportions.... all those do is increase your size... they are not actually considered polymorph spells... things like ice body and frightful aspect ARE polymorph spells and should work on those....

As someone mentioned above, if you want builds. crpgbro is the way to go. Neoseeker's builds are created from end game backwards and almost entirely theorycrafted and not tested, meaning they might work really well when you get to end game, but getting there will be often be a nightmare because of numerous dead-weight feats and abilites. And then what? You might have a great character for the last couple hours of the game? Also, every build takes multiple levels of loremaster for some very dumb reasons ("This build really needs the jerboa familiar to work" is the only reason I can gather for a lot of them).
