comprehensive list of shapeshifting forms???
I have been searching everywhere but I can't seem to find a list of available transformations for each class.

All I can seem to find is things like "brown fur transmuter is best" and lists of statistics and such, and videos showing which spells to pick each level, but nobody seems to have a simple list of what FORMS each class can change into.

So, which classes can transform? WHAT can they turn into? Can they make the ability a toggle, or just limited/infinite casts with a duration? Any other details like annoying visual effects (such as glowing body or absurdly large size)?

I initially wanted to try Shifter from The Last Sarkorians DLC after I found out about Ulbrig and his griffon form, but did more research and decided to pick Arcanist - BFT instead. Still new to the game and only at level 2 at the moment, hoping it gets better... Also, I started at Neutral alignment but I'm a goody two-shoes who keeps making friendly choices so I'm rapidly heading for Good align. I HATE evil paths.

I appreciate any info that isn't just raw numbers.

Your question involves a lot of work. It would take me almost 40 minutes to list every class gives what forms, and the bonuses they get. Bro this is excessive.

I'm not heartless though. A little unknown form is the hydra, and blood rager gets it.

Bloodlines allow for some nifty and unique shapeshifting. Serpentine Bloodrager can become a multi-headed hydra, whereas Serpentine Sorcerer can become a naga for instance. Draconic and elemental bloodlines are obvious.

Then you have a dozen archetypes which shift into animals via class features. Druid, Shifter, Metamorph, Feral Champion, Beastkin Berserker, ect.

And then you can also shapeshift via spells, Witch hexes and Shaman spirit powers.

Suffice to say the list is quite excessive.

I'm mostly interested in classes that can transform into birds, cats, furred werebeasts, maybe even dragons if they don't take up half the screen. Obviously what I really want is Ulbrig's griffon mode, but it's not available to the player's main character, and I have no idea how to mod the game beyond adding new portraits.

A permanent (toggle) shapeshift is preferred, with no flashy effects, though infinite uses is acceptable.

I will continue working with my Arcanist, at least to see what she is capable of.

No birds or werebeasts available to the player, even with mods. WotR has kitsune as playable race with innate human and foxfolk forms if that strikes your fancy.

Any class and archetype with access to wild shape (or similar polymorph features) can transform into felines of sorts. Shifter can shapeshift into a tiger, others into leopard and smilodon. For infinite uses you're limited to either Shifter's or Druid's capstone at 20th level. That is, if you don't take the Master Shapeshifter mythic ability before then.

Griffonheart Shifter is unlocked via TabletopTweaks Base[github.com]. Simply follow the mod instructions for installing the mod.

Ahh thank you so much for the mod link, as well as the advice. I will make a Shifter character in the future, just getting into the story with my current class so I'll be fine with Ulbrig in my party for now.

Interestingly enough, my Arcanist IS a kitsune, and I absolutely refuse to use her human form. :3
