Dual-wielding Dwarven Waraxes?
I just noticed that you could dual wield any one handed weapons as a fighter without any penalties thanks to a fighter specific feat. I just thought of making a dwarven mutation warrior and have him dual wield dwarven waraxes. I think because he's a dwarf, he won't even have to waste a feat. I guess you could do the same as a human by taking exotic weapon, but it's not as thematic lol...Has anybody done this?

Yup, I usually play dwarves. They're my favourite race in the game.

Actually there’s a companion doing pretty much that, Dwarf, Slayer though, by default also wearing 2x Dwarven Waraxes.

So while I can’t tell you about warrior, what I can say is that Greybor is working pretty well, and looking pretty cool.

That said, as Dwarf, I feel Slayer is the better fit, especially as it gives you a swift action raising your speed, which I feel is the decider making Greybor viable as a fulltime member of my frontline.

He doesn't dual wield Dwarven Waraxes. He wields the humble handaxe in his offhand to not get penalized. It's just that the handaxe *looks* like a dwarven waraxe that most people think he dual wields, which is pretty cool.

Oh, might have missed that... but either way, _my_ Greybor does indeed wield Dual Dwarven Waraxes and he's killing it... quite literally.

I must be playing him wrong. Im followed a build guide and hes very glass cannon. All my characters seem to do in core is miss miss miss.

I would add I am by no means good at this game but Im crawling through it.

Fighter gets Effortless Dual Wielding at what, level 10? So before then you'll be taking a pretty good hit to your off hand attacks unless you off hand a light weapon. Slayer and Ranger allow you to pick 'style' feats without needing the stat pre-requisites (i.e. 15 dex for two weapon fighting). Ranger would also come with some utility spells like lead blades, and the best spell: 'has a leopard.'

My main concern would be how easy to hit your character would be, especially on core. That's Greybor's main weakness actually... he's too easy to hit.

Edit: Also, forgot to mention not to bother trying to dual wield the 'Relentless Assault' axe. It only procs once per round and only when in the main hand.

As someone who plays characters that dual wield frequently I can firmly say the odds of hitting are pretty much the same regardless of weapon type if there are penalties they haven't really affected my characters at all but that may be because I just have good luck with dice rolls

You need to use buffs and debuffs that lower the enemy's AC when you keep missing.

Another thing to keep in mind is that stuff like Power Attack gives you a bonus on *damage* rolls, but a malus on *attack* rolls, and the latter are what decides whether or not you can hit, i.e. overcome the AC of your target.

No, fighters get Effortless Dual as early as level 5, which is usually a good stop for branching into other classes like freebooter.

Another cool thing for ranger after the latest patch, they have personal spells at every spell level that are tagged polymorph. They will trigger the master shapeshifter mythic ability
