Did a certain buff-stacking bug get fixed?
Some spells that apply damage buffs - like Sun-Marked and Geniekind - used to deal the damage as a separate instance, stacking with any debuffs on the target for each instance of damage in the same attack. Destructive Aura and Mark of Judgement would both then proc once for each and again for the main attack. This stopped happening. Did they fix this? I know the separate damage instances was a thing back in Kingmaker.

It'd be disappointing if this is the case. It let me get 120+ damage per hit without crits; now I can just get 90+, and Geniekind and Frightful Aspect are cancelling each other out, which lowers my damage further.

Genie kind has been nerfed to the ground. You can only have one active, and it does not proc elemental barrage anymore.

Sunmarked hasn't been nerfed to my knowledge, I never felt it was overpowered though. It's holy damage, and holy damage never procced any secondary damages (minus mark of justice).

Oh, lame. That sucks. Why did they nerf it? I would understand if they made them all one damage source per attack, but making two unrelated buffs cancel each other out is just obnoxious. It would probably let me get to above 100 damage per attack again if it just worked.

I'm going to miss killing Core difficulty bosses in one round as an Angel-Cleric.

As time slowly travels on, things that are considered overpowered get nerfed. Usually at major points of upgrade.

At enivitable excesses launch, lich was nerfed to the ground.

At midnight isles launch, elemental barrage recieved the nerd bat.

At sarkorians, I have no idea what was nerfed, I feel like it was something I can't remember at the moment.

I'd imagine the next major nerf is going to be aspect of kalvakus. That has been single handedly destroying all sorts of content. They may take a look at expended aresenal as well.

I mean, yeah, but why be fun police at this point? Rather be true to Pathfinder than make hidden rules that cancel out unrelated buffs.

I can't speak for owl cat on how they want to balance the game. It is single player after all. I will say that liches getting nerfed as a result of dlc really ticked me off at the time. Especially since I never got said dlc that they nerfed them for. The elemental barrage nerf really didn't effect me other then waving a sad goodbye to it.

As touch of glory got the nerf bat also, I just don't remember exactly when it happened.

I think these nerfs would be fine if they just bothered balancing them with bugfixes that open more options rather than closing them.

Assassin is still an F-tier prestige class. And all it would take to fix it is give us an Ascended Poison Mythic Ability. Which would also help a bunch of spells on different classes, Druid most notably. Serpent Bloodline.

I think the reasoning behind that is cause of Kingmaker... I never played it but I keep reading ppl saying how poison was too OP in there with things like stinking cloud and cloudkill that could pretty much roll through the game with...

Yet Assassin wasn't even in Kingmaker. They put in the class for WotR and then didn't even bother to make it work properly.

In regards to geniekind canceling out frightful aspect - it's because the master shapeshifter mythic ability now interacts with them. You get +4 to all stats, but can only have 1 polymorph effect.

That's annoying; that shouldn't effect entirely unrelated builds, and there should be rules somewhere in the game.

It just bugs me because it's like a GM changing the rules mid-game because they didn't make the encounter hard enought; adjust the encounter, not the players' abilities.
