(Toybox) How to respec companions

Posting this on here because this comment section is usually MUCH faster for responses than Nexus.

I'm at the start of the game, just picked up Seelah. I want to give her a gestalt class or two and remake her Paladin class from the ground up. However, the Respec button only appears for my character. Is there some prerequisite for using Toybox to respec companions?

haven't tried on seelah yet, paladin is just too good

Know about that mod, but I cannot for the life of me get it to see gestalting with Toybox. Or am I doing something wrong?

That's weird... I can fully respec any character. Each one has a respec button.

How far along in the game are you? I'm at the start and I can only see respec for my main character.

Barley's respec mod is quite buggy and broken, so I recommend using https://www.nexusmods.com/pathfinderwrathoftherighteous/mods/309?tab=description instead. It integrates better with toybox and will let you fully respec either from Hilor (NPC) or Toybox.

The only issue I've encountered is that if you get an animal companion from the respec, you need to save, disable toybox, level the animal companion, and then re-enable toybox.

Well before the update just broke Toybox, I was able to do a bit of testing. Every class worked for gestalting, *except* the companion's original class; selecting the original class made other Toybox-selected classes disappear from the progression screen. Is there something I was doing wrong? Or do I have to try just respeccing them as a different class then giving them back their original class while trying gestalting again?
