Summoner class..?
Are there any plans to bring the summoner class into the game/future games? I'd imagine there's some technical difficulities surrounding the eidolon feature, but honestly even the *holds in puke* unchained version would be welcome at this point. This has probably been asked hundreds of times, thanks in advance for getting me up to speed on the continuous discussion

Not to this game.
When they were thinking about what classes to add they had a choice. Either add 9 new classes or add Summoner, they chose to add 9 classes. Because adding Summoner would have been equaly (or more) draining on time and money as adding 9 classes, or be hollowed out version with no customization. (this is from QA stream)

You can only hope next game after they make Warhammer 40K will be Pathfinder and they will add it there.

Summoner probably won't ever get added. Too many complainers about how OP they are in pen and paper. Never ending.

Wouldn't be surprised if more archetypes that incorporate some of the summoner rules were added (like the monster tactician)

to be fair, if we listened to complainers on what's op, we'd be stuck with brawler and maybe ranger as our only 2 options lol..

I don't really know what the problem was, mine were probably underpowered, but the ones that others were using were causing pathfinder society problems (that's the pen and paper league thing).

with the origional, it was a mistake in the eidolon's max attack column and the spell levels that the summoner got..the eidolon only had a maximum number of natural attacks, so people would drop all their evolutions into arms and make a big massive freak of arms..and the summoner got haste at lvl 2 instead of 3 so making scrolls/potions were cheaper..there was also the summon monster special ability that allowed for mass summonings...tl/dr of that is that each summon monster cast would last minutes per level and you could have multiple summoned creatures out at the same time...so..lots of issues for rules lawer type dm's and those who forgot that DR existed...the former for not saying "no" to the common issues and the ladder to make eidolons weaker than they already are
