They are trees so try burning them down ... literally. They should have a terrible reflex save and probably have vulnerability to fire.
Thank you. I will try to buff their dex and reflexes.
I burn them, but they have lots of HP which means more than 3 rounds.
More the one means defeat so I guess I a have to fight them one by one by walking slowly. This could be a good strategy too.
There really should have been a spell for this.
Feather Step and Freedom of Movement could have helped with this but no.........
There should have also been a Mass Death Ward
Feather Step doesn't prevent ground effects from effecting you, it just lets you ignore difficult terrain. There is a 2nd level spell in tabletop called Air Step that would have completely negated this ability. But since this game doesn't have a third dimension none of levitate/fly/air walk spells were included.
Freedom of Movement is an incredibly powerful spell but it only prevents effects that prevent/restrict your movement. Getting knocked down does neither.
Mass Death Ward would be ... so broken, it's already an incredibly powerful spell.
I don't think there should be spells as a solution for every enemy ability. That makes the game boring.
I know Feather Step and FOM don't help, but would have been nice
I don't know jack about the PnP spells, but one would think they exist. DnD had a bible of 5 or so books that were spells alone, I still have one. Many very obscure and complicated spells.
You're right would make things too easy, but there seems to be a counter for most everything else, and many aren't too apparent if you're not an expert.
