I take master shapeshifter for him first mythic level.... while in his normal form he can wear armor but in griffon form he is unarmored... but he gets bonus to AC with dex and wisdom adding to armor while unarmored.... so right now in my game at him level 8 his armor in griffon form is same as him out of griffon form with his default armor 20 AC in each.... but I can add mage armor on top of griffon form to boost it higher to 24 AC...

also him and Nenio (eldritch knight) I have to not auto charge... I have Seelah and Sosiel on horseback with the horses built as tanks... also at a certain point dont give the horses armor anymore since their dex can get higher than armor will allow and just slap on 24 hour mage armor on them too.. so they benefit from mage armor and full dex bonus to AC... but I give Ulbrig lunge and Nenio also has reach with her bardiche... so keeping them behind tanks keeps them alive longer for me... I actually have them both behind my sorcerer lol... my sorcerer actually has the second highest AC in my party... horses are the highest...

Damn, I don't know why I haven't taken that mythic feat yet. I have mythic weapon focus claw, Brutality Incarnate, and Mythic Beast since I multied him with a Drovier. I know my multiclassing ideas are kinda crackpot, but I like to experiment with them.
I never use auto charge, usually charge for me is just on one enemy I have a path to since paths get blocked after that, and also the AC penalty associated with charge.
He has a +4 amulet of mighty fists so that will hopefully make up for the reason I multiclassed him.

death from above is awesome though it does put him in close its range is HUGE and no need for line of sight (like tavern defense he can use death from above to reach one gate to the other)... though I do have him with normal charge too on hotbar.... but I am careful when I use either.... having tanks in the enemies face first is my main priority.... then with lunge active when I charge with Ulbrig he'd still be behind the tanks safely away... but pumping up his Dex and Wisdom he gets both added to AC anyways and can have mage armor applied to him to stack it higher.... also.... he could end up taking archmage armor feat and drink a mage armor potion for a even higher boost to AC... +14 AC by mythic rank 10...

not a fan of multiclassing him though... that 20th level ability just seems too good to pass up.... final aspect class feature makes griffon aspect an at will ability... meaning it no longer has charges.... it also can be used while in griffon form so you could have both up permanently.... at 20th level it provides a +8 bonus to strength that stacks with master shapeshifter so +12 strength... as well as some other effects like fear immunity aura and will saves increase.. also immunity to ground effects but griffon form already does that cause he has wings.... which is awesome especially early game in places like ashberry hamlet with the ghost that likes to target with rift of ruin... if they target Ulbrig with it the spell just doesnt even go off...

I'm not going crazy with the multiclassing like I did my first playthrough. Many of my companions and main character are vanilla, however like I said I'm giving him about 5 levels in the druid class (drovier) mainly for magic fang and greater magic fang

of course you can do what you want and build anyway you choose too.... just his base class is already so powerful is all im saying....

also doesnt 5 levels of druid kinda hurt?... I mean greater magic fang is...

Spell Effect: Greater magic fang gives all natural weapons or unarmed strikes of the subject a +1 enhancement bonus on attack and damage rolls per four caster levels (maximum +5). The spell can affect a slam attack, fist, bite, or any other natural weapon.

wouldnt that mean with 5 levels of druid.... greater magic fang would only be giving you a +1 enhancement bonus... since you'd only be a caster level 5 afterall.... and if you had a animal companion they'd only be level 5 as well since its based off of druid level and not character level....

not only that you'd be going down in BAB... shifter class gets full BAB progression so by level 20 they'd be at +20/+15/+10/+5 full BAB.... druid with only 5 levels gives 3 BAB... that means 15 levels of shifter and 5 levels of druid at 20th level you'd have +18/+10/+5 BAB.... so you'd end up losing an extra attack too...

Yeah its quite idiotic why I chose the druid - I forgot it was an enhancement bonus which are usually useless later on considering amulets and items that give enhancement
I'll probably respec him
Swore I wasn't going to respec this time around for the achievements since I'm weird and wanted them
And I'm playing on hard in real time so I'm pretty much just handicapping myself

lol I totally get it... idk how many games im like planning my main build then 20 hours in im like "you know what if I did this and this it would be so much better.... lemme make a new game".... then 20 hours later into the new game I end up going... "well I was an idiot.... I should restart again and go back to the way I planned all along"...

I generally just griffin aspect because large creatures are a pin the navigate in tight spaces like in a lot of dungeons and just save his griffin form for appropriate bosses.
