Killing Nenio
Hate her, tried to listen to her, couldn't, killed her.
Am I missing anything important? If it's just random content helping her out with her stupid life, I wouldn't want to do that anyway.

Why would anyone want to kill a cute fox girl? :kittyfurry:
Combination of things. Mostly people being 'edgy bois' killing the thing annoying them. And it's perfectly valid to find her annoying.

Another factor is that inclusion of furries into a game can break some people's immersion pretty hard. Contributing to this is that a lot of people who 'hate' furries REALLY hate furries. And many times for actual valid reasons encapsulated by what happened at Rainfurrest:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmULc5VANsw

Yes, not all furries are the worst offenders documented there by the Internet Historian. But the 'community' is seen by normies as if they all are.

The complaint about her lacking personality is technically valid and by design. But it's spoilery to point out exactly why. YMMV on how interesting you think that story actually is.

Two things. One, I hated Nenio at first too. Then I took her to Boss fights. To me it was very funny. if not, then you should just dump her. You only need the extra shard for the ascension ending if you boof it elsewhere

Two: the only real moral alignment in this game is whether or not someone is nice to Ember. If they are mean to Ember they are evil. If they are nice, they are good at heart. That's it, that's the test. If it says evil but they're nice (or ignore) Ember then they're not evil-evil. Like certainpeople who talk about fried chicken around the campfire.

WOTR is all about killing companions it seems. Whole game feels at times like someone's sick dream. You kill Camellia coz you are a sane person. You kill Nenio because she is obnoxious. You kill Wenduag because she is disgusting. You kill Daeran because he is Evil.
Still, compared to Kingmaker with zero interesting companions, here in WOTR we at least got brilliantly and creatively written Regill. Arueshalae is tolerable in her childish attempts to live a good life, and Seelah can be forgiven just because of her wedding quest, which brings nostalgic memories.
Or you can just be me and not kill any of them because you've sworn a hard oath not to kill any companions no matter how much they piss you off due to finding out about KOTOR 1's dark side ending. Seriously I'm not going to kill anyone unless they are actively trying to kill me or someone I care about. Generic grunts and nameless NPCS don't count as being worth caring about as they a dime a dozen. For me its WAY too easy to inflict death and destruction,
Also regarding the topic of all this, HOW DARE you even think of hurting Nenio just because you find her annoying, killing somebody because they annoy you is an evil thing that psychopaths do, I can get telling her to beat it if you find her annoying but killing her? That's just evil and if I met you in real life I'd be concerned for my well being as if being annoying is a reason enough to kill somebody then well you are a danger to society

Yep Ember is the best way to gage the true alignment of anyone in the game, try and hurt Ember and that's immediately going to warrant you dying.

I agree with this. I think he isn't evil. I view daeran as chaotic neutral. He practically has an orgasm on every major chaotic decision.

If words could kill, there would be dead bodies all around him. He purposefully uses his evil tongue to offend other people at every opportunity.

That being said, he walks over dead bodies with a smile on his face. His offer (to give just one example of many) that he could easily arrange to have Captain Harmattan secretly murdered in Nerosian is "neutral" for you?

This man is without any scruples - in word and deed.

Oh no, he said mean things! Totally evil! Also, being neutral doesn't preclude people from killing those that interfere with their own agenda. What matters is what you do most of the time.

I would say he's chaotic neutral, as Daeran has no control over the entity inside of him and is therefore not responsible for its deeds.

I wonder why people hate nenio so much. Actually I played through my first playthrough accidentally skipping her area and didn't even know she was a kitsune till chapter 5. I actually liked the character. I thought she was funny.

I read the spoiler by one of the posters. If that is true it drops her a little bit in my book. Why are people that you get at level 1 supposed to be in lore that powerful?

I still like her but reading some of these comments make me think she was a little bit less well written than I originally thought.

Totally agreed, this is what made me like Daeran and hate Camellia even before learning their stories.

I found her to be amusing on my first run, but her ideas on "science" seem to be lacking. Like I said elsewhere, it would have been interesting if they hinted at the reveal more throughout the plot instead of making her a manic pixie dream girl most the time. I usually have a merc replace her.

Same. I replaced her with a reincarnation of Bartholomew from Kingmaker.
At least until I gave up on the game completely for all the ridiculousness.

I like the character, one of my favourite things is when she performs the alcohol drinking experiment:)

Hate to break it to y'all, but the sentence for mutiny is generally death. Also, let's not fool ourselves: Harmattan's plans endanger lives. He's not leading an army so that he can picket outside your walls while holding protest signs.

Agreed. Not only that, we are dealing with a war where demons influence people to turn on the companions (and we have seen first hand how often it happens to crusaders). Since we know the fall of Drezen was due to infiltration by the enemy, I think the KC is well within his rights to want to eliminate the guy from as far away as possible.
