Progress through Act 3 quicker - there's no reason for morale to plummet at this point. That being said, you should be able to continue the game.

Hi there.

While the army should be happy (role), the thing is that you took too much time in the tactical phase of the game. I have a couple of games with the same issue too, as the army is not actively fighting, some of the morale boosts stop working. The only thing to do is, at the citadel there should be at least one decree to boost the moral, but you will not be able to counter the morale drop...so as forkofspite said, you should be doing you party quests now.

Hope this help
Have fun

Been there, too. I've reported that as a bug. You shouldn't lose morale for winning the war. Realistically, aside from guerrilla warfare, if you take all the enemy's stuff, you win. And I don't think there are incubi masquerading as Drezen farmhands.

Only thing to do is look for events and decrees that boost morale.

At some point there are no more armies to beat and fortresses to conquer. Hence the morale plumets.

The crusade sucks anyway, regardless of the morale issue.

And hence why I will report it as a bug. The whole morale scale sucks, anyway. It's either positive or insanely negative. There's no "meh", even though it claims to have an average function. Plus you can't buff it above 20, even with decrees and monuments (oh, I forgot to mention those!). It's like a grading scale of A, D, F.

Look at it this way. You "won" the war (you actually haven't yet, but that is beside the point). Except you are still keeping them in the army instead of disbanding them and letting them go home to their loved ones. They sit around the barracks doing nothing. Of course they get upset.

At least when they were still killing demons and taking territory they were still occupied.

No, this would make sense if you were just F***ing around doing nothing and not taking any ground. You literally don't have the option to disband them. You can't progress past X point because roads don't appear next to some forts until certain parts in the game. There's no realistic explanation for this. Additionally, it still takes a massive amount of time to logistically ship soldiers home. Yes, magic exists, but it's insanely difficult to just plop thousands of people from one continent to another.

Maybe download Toybox from nexus, and see if it helps.

Drezen News Daily here with on the field interview with Crusaders, here's some interviews we gathered :

Peasant A : We have been sitting around Drezen for months doing nothing, and the commander aren't making a push toward Iz at all and his excuse was "the game won't open the path" and "I am not done grinding levels". I had a good hope with his initial success in Kenabres and Drezen but now
I just want to go home to my wife and 10 kids, who knows what's happened back in my Village? also, the food sucks

Hellknight R : If the commander isn't making progress soon, he could be a demon. We'll deal with him personally.

Crusader Captain Anonymous : Queen Galfrey would have done this far better than this upstart.....

it seems morale has hit rock bottom here in Drezen, the Commander better start doing something soon.

I'm glad I found this thread. I have been puzzling over why my army's morale is broken and resources are running low. I've been too slow doing quests. Thanks for all the information!

You'll get to a point where its 20 all the time once you know what you're doing.
Crusade could have been better, or harder I should say.

LOL you're so funny. In real life there are no roads that suddenly appear out of the middle of nowhere while an army is advancing. I love how hard you're trying to defend this nonsense. You keep trying to make it sound like they thought all this through meanwhile my six balors can't scatter a couple dozen dretches.

Love how some people opt to roleplay out of a bogus game mechanic. That said, there's so many forts and enemies to beat in Act 3 it would take a tremendous amount of time for Morale to start dropping. I remember clearing the map (quests, objectives, forts) and then skipping time for a while because I wanted something to pop up in the crusade screen (didn't), but that didn't put morale below 100 either. Thought it was bugged. Each enemy you beat doesn't only increase morale, it also extends the time before morale starts to drop. I was able to build 4 huge armies in this time too.
