Update from the Owlcat CM regarding Appflyer

Deserved? Hell no. Nothing about this outrage is deserved. This is just pacifying the mob, which I agree is a necessity and don't begrudge OwlCat for.

Good enough for me I just hope they don't stealth add it later like some companies do. I know that some people are always on top of stuff like that though.

EDIT: Still though it is crazy to see the amount of people just spying on you all the time. I already knew but it is crazy.

Also tweaked my review to positive since they decided to listen to the customer for once, not going to reinstall it or continue playing it however.

BG3 comes out in a week and the tone deafness of the replies earlier regarding "mobile games" and the like as an excuse put a sour taste in my mouth.

They added user data collection into a game people already paid for, without giving them the option to opt-out. 100% deserved backlash.

Essentially they are stealing from consumers. Because they already have our money and if we don't agree to the data collection then we cannot play the game we already bought.

No. Literally did a search for "appsflyer" on my computer, search showed a .dll with Appsflyer in the name. I haven't updated Hearthstone on my PC in months.

That doesn't make it less of a problem. If it's in heartstone, it's going to be on all blizzard activision games soon and let's be real, it's going to be on all gamepass games too, becasue microsoft.
