EDIT: Still though it is crazy to see the amount of people just spying on you all the time. I already knew but it is crazy.
Especially because they never use encryption
BG3 comes out in a week and the tone deafness of the replies earlier regarding "mobile games" and the like as an excuse put a sour taste in my mouth.
Shall we direct the pitchforks towards Blizzard next?
Hah, not going to argue with you there. Its not something I actively play, was just coaxed into it by a friend.
They added user data collection into a game people already paid for, without giving them the option to opt-out. 100% deserved backlash.
Essentially they are stealing from consumers. Because they already have our money and if we don't agree to the data collection then we cannot play the game we already bought.
That doesn't make it less of a problem. If it's in heartstone, it's going to be on all blizzard activision games soon and let's be real, it's going to be on all gamepass games too, becasue microsoft.
