The only way that I know on how to kill them properly is fireball that is stacked with meta magic to make them stronger( wands & rods work too) + penetration and increased DC feats.
Edit: fair warning ⚠️ if you do not grab meta magic and the feats I suggested, your fireball will be useless and you gonna struggle with swarms. You just passed one of the a few swarm’s difficult fights but you will face a few week ones too.
Understood, thanks for taking the time to respond, I appreciate it
Otherwise, Magic's the answer to swarms. Anything that targets an area for damage will do full damage to swarms, barring other incidental resistances. So for instance, Burning hands eventually gets replaced with Fireball and later on with Fire Snake. Things that target individuals, like scorching ray or Battering Blast, generally can't be used on swarms.
Swarm immunities are dumb imo. Especially in a CRPG that doesn't allow creative solutions that tabletop does. No shame in dropping the difficulty out of Core to have a more normal encounter.
Keep distance to the tank so the swarms stack onto the Tank then use Alchemist bombs (Like Alchemist fire) and AOE spells for damage. Dont forget to give your tank Resist energy.
