Does the "Stolen Youth" debuff from the Lich questline make full caster unplayable?
So stolen youth apparently gives you a 20% chance to fail/miss (not sure which) when casting a spell that requires an attack roll (touch spell, ray spell).

My question: can you use Blindsight / True Sight / Echolocation / Thoughtsense to effectively "counter" your poor eyesight?

My other question: Has anyone ever played with Stolen Youth and had no problem because they never used anything that required an attack role?

There are a lot of contradicting rumors going around about Stolen Youth. If someone has Toybox, or knows how to access game info from the game files, or just has a save with a Lich that has Stolen Youth... can you let me know what the hell is going on?

Thank you!

Honestly I'd say it isn't worth the reward.

Depends on exactly what the 20% miss miss chance is from. If it's from concealment due to poor eyesight, you might be able to overcome the issue with those spells.

If it is a completely untyped penalty, you might just be boned. However, you can adjust your spell list to things that don't care about attack rolls. Hopefully. Sorcs might be extra boned.

Well if you go full RP, then you are playing on Story and these 20% won't matter.

If you playing seriously, then you just skip sacrificing Youth - Zacharius will be kinda mad, and won't give you his robe, but it's not worth 20% miss chance. No sir.

You need 2 sacrifices to become Lich, so sacrifice Wealth and Love (Camellia). She is helpful, is she not...
