Magic Subschools

I know they aren't a thing in Kingmaker, but did they implement it in wotr? Been wanting to do an infernal sorc but is the +2 to charms subschool still useless due to no charms?

there are subschools but not sure if there are any charm spells. I looked thru a few spells online and did not see any. Compulsion is the main one that shows up with spells that seem charm like, which the fey bloodline covers. Hard to say what is actually in game tho as fextra isn't 100% accurate.

There's a lot of Charm, Compulsion, and Mind-Affecting Immunity kicking around. You wouldn't be useless but you would not be as useful as you'd hope. One of the best CC spells in the game is only the best because it doesn't have the Compulsion tag. Here's an example Enchanter/Conjurer Nenio build that I stole from an expert that takes full advantage of that fact:

Ember gets fairly strong lvl 9 charm spell as a reward for the "good" resolution of her personal questline (she's the only one who can use it though). It's still not enough for me to dip into Infernal Bloodline in her case - it's either Fey/Undead or Arcane/Undead.

Oh! I guess I didn't fully answer you question. There still aren't any 'subschools' but there are tags on spells that serve the same function effectively. So your Infernal bloodline should properly affect Charms and Dominates.
