But I'm confused as to why Pathfinder did Mystic Theurge so dirty. In DnD 3.5 they realized that having two sets of spellbooks didn't give you much of an advantage, so they created prestige classes like the True Necromancer in the Libris Mortis supplement that gave a bunch of class progression bonuses such as spell-like abilities and a Zone of Desecration in addition to both divine and arcane caster progression
Don't knock on Theurge too much! i've made her one twice now and she's a really good blaster, lots of variety in spells, and a lot of spell slots. Just not the higher level spells it seems.
Just about how you level after once you have the 10 levels of MT
P.S. If you get her a class that has the true strike ability and you can quicken spells, you almost guarantee a hit with at least one of her attacks.
