Controlled Fireball is useless now
Tried it once, did MASSIVE damage to my party. Bye-bye, Controlled Fireball, will never use you again.

Looks like they also "fixed" Greater Magic Weapon to function like the "fixed" Magic Vestment. So, that one is now useless as well.

Useful stuff keeps getting turned useless and effectively removed from the game, thus making the game more hollow. :(

Yup, normal, bolster, empower and maximize Controlled Fireball now damage your own party.

So that makes Controlled Fireball, Elemental Barrage, Geniekind, Weapon Imbues (Warpriest, Paladin, Shaman, Magus class abilities), Weapons with Elemental enchants, Life Bubble, Magic Vestment: Armor, Magic Vesment: Shield, Greater Magic Weapon, DR/- items and class abilities, Horse (due to its inferior stats and removed unique feature) and many other features, that worked just fine at launch, effectively removed from the game. Since they are useless now.

Such massive removal of features certainly makes the game... less. :(

Frankly I've always been curious with the elemental barrage change, if you can spam toggle energy bracers during a hellfire ray, to trigger different energy blasts. I always keep forgetting to try .

Even if it works, it's going to result in loss of damage output on a dedicated ray caster, because you'll be changing your energy type from fire into lightning and thus losing the 1.5 damage multiplier from vulnerability. The flat 10d6 damage bonus from elemental barrage is not worth it.

At best, you could use elemental barrage to get some "free" damage by cycling elemental cantrips.

If the description states one thing and the actual effect is different, it's either a bug in the code or an issue with the description. In this case, we can safely conclude it was a bug, since the effect was changed to match the description and not the other way around.

The worst part is that its now capped at 10d6. Kinda lost 40% of dmg . Now chain lightning is the only acsessible spell for act 3 blasters, kinda suck.

You don`t need it. You basicly loose entire action and a mythic ability just to get a minor dmg bonus.

Even if it's 20d6, it still cannot be maximized and empowered so that's 20*3.5 = 70 damage on average. On a dedicated ray caster, the loss of 1.5 damage multiplier results in a loss of over 500 damage on a SINGLE ray.
