SF Monk question
I was think of rolling up a pure monk. Or heavily Monk-focused char at least.

I was leaning toward Scaled Fist because but think I may be misreading the skills/powers a bit for this class and wanted to clarify.

Does Scaled Fist use Charisma for EVERYTHING monks normally do with Wisdom, or only AC?

The toughest thing i've found with monks is how many different attributes they need. If Cha only boosts AC for a Scaled Fist, then seems a bad way to go as it adds yet another attribute for me to worry about.

Scaled fist is good because charisma has a lot going for it. Their is bestow grace, and the advanced version that give stackable charisma bonus to saves. As long as your good aligned. Then charisma can also replace dex, finally daereans questline has an option to add charisma to deflection. So scaled fist is popular in that regards

A dragon style scaled fist can go str/cha easily, and yes if he lawful good you can use bestow grace from a divine caster to give him the paladin save to cha passive without having to dip 2 levels into paladin.

While SF is often used for dipping, the archetype is actually a very good melee option, especially with mythic feats.

Just don't try to multiclass to dragon disciple, the bloodline doesn't merge.

Scaled Fist as a pure monk would be MAD, requiring wisdom for actually stunning anything (as you feared). It's only good as a splash for the AC, not to take to 20 because you want Dex and Cha for AC plus Con to live and Wis to be able to land a monk ability.

If you're ever unsure, look at the class progression in-game. If the ability has not been replaced, it's stats will not have changed. Stunning Fist does not have a RED CROSS, indicating you lost it, with a replacement option containing a GREEN TICK to show it's a new ability for that subclass.

So if you're ever unsure again, look for a red cross to indicate a change.

Scaled fist can have high AC and saves thanks to 2 lvl dip into paladin. stunning fist will be useless since it's wisdom based and take pummeling style for pummeling charge instead of other style. With mythic feats monk can be very strong and can dish 120+ damage per hit and with paladin dip you get smite evil which add charisma bonus to your attack roll + 2 damage from paladin level. While dex based can have high AC, your MC SHOULD NEVER be the tank and let someone else tanking although with good build you can get at least 60 AC
