Can you be a "Good" Demon?

Much of what I have read on Demon mythic suggests it reeeeeeaaaaally hardlocks you into some bad paths. I am wondering just how "hardlocked" I am once I go this route.

Is there anyway to keep Seela(or any other companions I am unaware of) from abandoning you?

Can you still redeem and romance Arushalae as a Demon?

Can you romance the Queen as a Demon?

If you are actively trying to keep a NG/CG/LW alignment, do NPCs actually recognize and acknowledge your effort to remain good? Is it even possible to do that once on a Demon mythic path?

If I abandon Demon Path for a good path later, can i re-recruit companions who abandoned me earlier? Do they recognize my "redemption"?

Are "good" endings still even attainable on Demon path?

I'm currently playing through the game as a demon (CN at the moment but it goes back and forth from CN to CE) and no companions have left the party apart from Arushalae.

I can't comment on a few things that you've asked coz I haven't tried for example romancing the Queen. I dunno how far you are in the game so I'd rather not spoil anything.

EDIT: Arushalae came back as well as Lann.

Having played on since I initially replied I'd say, I think the reactions and references to my decisions have been rather strong in regards to my characters orientation. So far NPCs have recognised and acknowledged my characters efforts to remain good (particularly Seela).

I don't think a demon can advance in mythic rank if you have a NG/CG/LW alignment. As I understand, you have to be within one step of CE.

Romance the queen, lol. She has spent almost a century fighting demons, and hates them. Theres no way she would voluntarily romance a physcopathic good aligned demon. You can romance Nocticula though. Gold dragon does have some fun flavor text with the evil mythic paths though. I have never done it with demon though. Demon is an extremly powerful mythic path, any transition from demon to gold dragon will make your character significantly weaker.

It seems to reason though that others have shared your desire to bed the queen as a demon. I'd imagine there are mods to do so. Toybox may have what your looking for.

No it's not that. I actually tend to like Arushalae more. I just like the idea of the "Demon on a redemption arc" that pops up throughout the game and was hoping it was something we could actually play with for our own characters.

And more importantly, I was hoping other NPCs would see and recognize the effort to be good despite having an evil nature.

Judging from the answers...it seems not.

I know gold dragon has a lot of flavor text with the lich mythic path. I just dont know what it entails for demon. Gold dragon mythic path is a very weak one. I dont know how demon/gold dragon interact. Id imagine there is something.

Correct. Demon is the CE path for a reason. If you deviate too much from it you get a mythic quest to change your alignment back to an acceptable one instead. If you fail the quest, you get kicked out of Demon and another mythic path must be selected.

The Reformed Fiend archetype is pretty much the only way to get that particular RP flavor you're looking for working inside WotR.

I just completed a demon into legend playthrough earlier today so I can answer some of these.

Seelah in party as demon.

I think if you don't reject your mythic demonic powers to go legend route in act 5, she'll leave.

Redeem and romance Arueshalae.

You can do both if you reject your mythic demonic powers to go legend route in act 5 otherwise she'll reject you, but you can certainly do all the romance up until that part no problem.

Galfrey - no idea. But I'm going to guess it will be no given her whole schtick is fighting the demons for the better portion of a century.

You have to be a chaotic alignment to begin with to take demon (only CN or CE though). I suppose you could theoretically take alignment choices to move to a different alignment afterwards though - not sure what happens if you do though.

My character maintained CN alignment on demon path, so you don't only have to be CE to take this path. My answers were mainly chaotic throughout the game, some occasional good, some occasional evil and very rarely the odd lawful choice. They were mainly to emphasise my characters wilful distaste of authority and anything impeding his personal freedom.

Re-recruit companions? It never got to the point with my companions where they left. I know Seelah makes a comment when you first choose your mythic origin in act 3 but she doesn't leave.

I think act 5 is the point where companions stay/go if you decide to stay as a demon because by that point in the story you're on the verge of becoming 'true' demon kind.

Hmm.. I don't think the redemption thing applies here. I mean, you purposely turn INTO a demon on that path. Coming from being a mortal whatever. Switching back from that after a few weeks, months at best, to something good isn't a path of redemption, it's alignmental whiplash ^^

Corrupted Aru stays with demon, not sure about devil. Altho it is a secret romance option for aru as it entails romancing her as compassionate but sabotage her attempts with desna without being caught, I remember the DC for persuade being high

I think you're perhaps misunderstanding what mythic paths are in Wrath. Each of them is designed to embody and exemplify a specific alignment, which demon being the embodiment of chaos and evil. It makes no sense to voluntarily and wholeheartedly embrace evil through your mythic choice yet claim you're "actively trying to keep a good alignment," any more than someone could level up as a paladin while insisting they actively disliked lawful goodness.

There's an argument to be made that Owlcat shouldn't have designed mythics this way, and should instead have let players be good-aligned liches, chaotic aeons, lawful tricksters, etc. If they'd done that then it would have been possible and perhaps even interesting to be Golarion's first-ever good-aligned demon. But that's not what they did, unfortunately.

No, not at least past rank 8, you could play a demon who is redeemed and becomes a gold dragon, but the path is clearly none good, at most you maybe be able to play chaotic nuetral but thats it

Galfrey can be romanced by Dragon, Angel, Aeon and Legend with LG, LN, NG (and maybe TN?) alignement.
Good Arue has special romance dialoge with Demon MC after leaving. Sosiel has special romance ending with Demon. Evil Arue has no romance, just sex. You can have "romance" with Nocticula as Demon.

Evil Arue I found will go with CE and CN (so you can do Trickster or Demon), will not go with and instead tries to kill LE Lich (and so I think even Devil is out).

Companions can leave after MR8. Where you either choose to stay or go for other path. MR 8 is where you decide if you want go Good and not become Demon.
