Protective luck + cackle
I have been trying to get it to work but protective luck duration does not extend all when i use cackle. I tested it in both non combat and combat scenarios with both turn base and RT, but nothing works, and my Chars are side by side so they are 100% in range. Anyone having this issue or i am doing something wrong here?

Works for me. Just in case, are you trying to use cackle to extend a shaman protective luck (or chant to extend a witch protective luck?) I doubt that would work.

There's a simple reason for that: cackle doesn't work with protective luck. Here are the hexes it does work with: agony hex, charm hex, evil eye hex, fortune hex, and misfortune hex.
The game makes numerous changes compared to tabletop. In this case, the in-game description indicates evil eye, fortune, protective luck, and misfortune. In this game, it definitely works for evil eye and protective luck. I can't confirm or refute fortune or misfortune (or any other hex.)

I'm not saying you're wrong, necessarily, as I've not really experimented with the witch to know for sure. What I will say is that I hear this all the time, only to discover that WotR does, in fact, work like tabletop. A good example would be Monster Tactician and summoning feats. People will swear up and down they don't work together in WotR, even though they do. Then people will say it's because WotR makes changes to tabletop rules, even though this is how it works RAW in tabletop as well.

I have heard that in some cases, you might need to cackle before using a hex though. Maybe that's the issue? That might be an old beta thing.

But you're responding to questions as if what you say is a fact. In this instance, you are wrong. Doesn't it make sense to actually check in game rather than state something as a fact that you don't know?

At least, qualify your response. Something like "In tabletop, cackle doesn't apply to protective luck. Maybe it's like that in the game, as well."

It's likely easier to extend protective luck once you reach 8th lvl, when it lasts 2 rounds by default.

Do you mean this in-game tool tip?

The wiki is wrong, so there is that.

I multi-class Camellia, pick lvl 2 shaman with protective luck and at lvl 3 pick a witch class with cackle thinking that i could then take fortune hex at lvl 4, but after I respec Camellia and pick chant it works now, thanks!

Witch and Shaman hexes stack so using the chant/cackle from one wont work for the other.
