Map of Kenabres upside down?

Just started a new game, and for some reason when I leave the Defender's Heart the map view is upside down. the names are all displayed right side up, but the map is pointed south instead of north, and all the question mark spots are upside down. The little pull out map to the right of the screen shows that my view should be from the south looking north, but it very much is not.
