Regarding Leper's Smile
Spoilers for anyone who hasn't gotten to the location yet.

So, after killing the vescavor queen, if I go back through the canyon and kill all the additional vescavors for xp, I won't be penalised, right?

Once the queen is dead, there are no penalties.

Thanks. I guess I'm going to go and farm xp from vescavor swarms, or go mad from the annoyance of fighting them...

I hate swarms with fire resistance.

Not sure if it has been fixed but earlier the swarms disappeared after the queen was killed upon reload. So if you wanted the xp from the remaining swarms you had to kill the queen and the swarms in one go without reloads.

Well, it's good that I have a save right by the queen.

That was a really easy fight anyway.

Another question for this are:
Is there any downside to going into the crevice by the vescavor queen after you kill her?

Chance of death, but that's standard for the game. It's an optional area you should certainly try to explore - it's even required for one two of the mythic paths.

Alright. I'm going to clear it out, then.

The only special mechanics you have to worry about while in the area are all before killing the queen. There are several item caches and a small crevice with sounds coming from it before encountering the queen. Interacting with any of them before killing the queen increases the number of soldiers you lose.

After killing the queen, you can do whatever you want. However, the item caches are destroyed and the person in the crevice is killed.

I just saved the person in the crevice and then killed the queen. The dialogue said that I didn't lose many soldiers, and that there were barely any wounded. I take it that worked.

Technically, that area contains items required for two mythic paths

There's one in the upper area which is required for a different mythic path, but the response was to "Is there any downside to going into the crevice by the vescavor queen after you kill her?". In that "crevice" area (which I took to mean the lower portions rather than the place just before the queen where you can rescue someone), I'm only aware of being mandatory for one of the mythic paths.

Televendren's claw is down there, with zachyriots wand.

Yep- forgot about the claw. Optional area definitely required for two of the mythic paths.

If we're referring to the same area (entrance in the same area where you fight the queen), you find both the wamd needed for Lich Mythic path and Terendelev's claw which is needed for Gold Dragon Mythic in there.

Edit: Technically how you handle the queen's remains also affects weather another mythic path is accessible (though you can lock yourself out of this path way at the beginning of Act 2).
