Extreme slowdown

Just started playing and noticed the very first scene where you are carried in on a stretcher ( and then all gameplay after that) was all in VERY slow motion. I tried reducing resolution and some other random fixes (deleting Rewired_DirectInput.dll) and nothing seems to fix this...

Any tips? Pretty much unplayable as of now :(

Did you try it? Both your forehead and in game? Cause with the little info you gave, that tip is a solution to it.

What info is needed? The game runs like crap right from the start. There are dozens of posts about it that I have found doing a quick web search but nothing has worked so I asked here. I guess with what "tips" I got so far no one with a brain is available...

Have you tried stabbing yourself? No, hitting enter does nothing, as that would have to have some context to at all remotely helpful. In WHAT WAY is hitting enter supposed to effect this game?

Because the enter button skips cutscenes when you hit it.

about "it" slow cut scenes? That is supposed to be common knowledge? Nor give much information for someone to work with. PC specs and mods go a long way for performance issues.

The game runs fine for majority of players. So if you want help you have to put in effort to get help.

As said, skips the cut scene, the thing you had issues with in your post. If you tried hitting enter then said what happened, there might have been more potential to help.

Some people don't know their specs
If not the case with you OP, what kind of PC are you playing on?
Video Card, CPU, Memory, SSD? Resolution too

Could be a conflict of an app you have running in the background, but I'm just guessing here
Hitting enter to skip the cutscene doesn't solve the problem for them
How slow is slow? Like 2 FPS?

I'm having the exact same issue. Game runs fine for like 30 seconds after loading, then everything becomes extremely slow every other second. I haven't found any solution. Game is unplayable at the moment.

You mean it has a bit of a lag? Or it's slow to the point of unplayable literally would be about 5-10 FPS

It's not a lag. Everything slows down. The animation even runs in slow motion and the FPS drops as well.

I found something of a fix. Turns out the game doesn't know how to use GPU effectively. It was pushing the GPU usage to 100% and overheating. I limited the FPS to 60 and the usage went down to 50%. There didn't seem much slowdown after that.
