A Common Cause quest
It's it not very important to recruit everyone for this?
I didn't visit Blackwing Library until after the attack on Defender's Heart, so the crusaders are burned. I already recruited the thieflings and Desna priests
I was thinking of starting over but REALLY don't want to do that again
I'm assuming recruiting everyone just makes it easier, game is already getting easier on Core real time as I gain levels
Anyhoo just wondering if I missed something important.

The groups you recruit have an impact on the attack on the Gray Garrison.

The Thieflings detect traps and secret doors, as well as disabling a strong fireball trap in a hallway.

The Desna priests (if you sided with them) will put several groups of enemies to sleep, allowing you to bypass those fights or coup de grace the unconscious enemies. I don't know what happens if you side with Hulrun and the Inquisitors, as I've never done that.

If you rescue the crusaders from the library, they will cast a long-lasting haste spell on you in addition to opening magically sealed doors. I think there is only one magically sealed door you can't bypass otherwise, and it just leads to a bit of loot.

Bit of loot meaning gold and trinkets or is there a powerful item in there

No powerful item I can recall. I think it is the Mordant Waraxe, a +1 dwarven waraxe that deals an extra 1d3 acid damage. Nothing really special.

The only other impact not rescuing the crusaders has is who shows up in your throne room in Act 3. But it ultimately doesn't change anything.

The haste spell makes the Grey Garrison assault a lot easier. Basically doubles your damage output potential.

I'll do fine I think. I have haste with Nenio.
However I was considering starting over since I'm going to probably play this once and not again for years, evil path maybe, lich

Nenio's only lasts 1 round per level, or 6 seconds/level. So only good for about 1, maybe 2 combats if they are close together. The one from the crusaders lasts an hour and a half.

Idk. I might start over still. Going to play Through the Ashes, not finished with Act 1 yet so maybe I'll get the bonus in the main game whatever it is
Specked some of my characters badly not wanting to waste the 3 free respecs too
And not so sure about a Magus anymore. With so many enemies demons and immune to electricity

All in all love the game so far. I loved Kingmaker too (except KM) but this one really tops the first game.
