OK let me know if I have this right, Melee Touch spell Attack mechanics
My Tiefling has shocking grasp spell, a melee touch spell DC 15, affected by target spell resistance. DAM of spell is 1d6 per caster level. His caster level is 3, penetration is 3, spell is level 1, his INT modifier is +4. Correct any of the following.

1 Spell DC level is 15 = 10 + spell level + INT modifier. But has nothing to do with the spell casting. Not used in any calculation, I guess its just there for reference.
2 Spell resistance of target: Target rolls 1d20+spell resistance, if greater or equal to 16 (10+caster level + penetration ) then spell misses.
3 If spell passes restistance, then 1d20+ caster STR must be greater or equal to touch AC of target for spell to hit.
4 If spell hits then roll 3d6 for DAMage.

Whewww, is that correct? Do I get an A for the quiz?

Something like that, except that if you manage to hit your spell, you will actually do 0 damage because all demons are immune to electricity.

1. for that spell no. But some touch attack spells do have a DC check for secondary effects.

2. It's not that. The target doesn't make the roll, The caster does. It's 1d20+caster level (+any spell penetration bonus) against the target's spell resistance. If the caster level check beats spell resitance, the spell works.

3. it's 1d20 + melee attack bonus (which is BAB + str or dex + touch weapon attack bonus). It's not just the str, the BAB factors in too, as well as any melee attack bonus that is not weapon specific. That's why touch attack weapon focus feat works on melee touch attacks.

3. You roll attack first. If hit then you roll spell resistance. Then roll damage.
Note if you have Weapon Finesse feat, and DEX higher than STR, then you use DEX for Melee Touch.

Unless you have the Mythic Ability Ascendant Element: Electricity.
