Str because SS is a class built for maximum damage. There is absolutely no reason to go dex on a SS. Gotta spend 2 feats on a very feat hungry class if you go dex and all you gain are a few more AC at the end of the day and significantly less damage.

DEX. As a Sword Saint, you do not get any kind of armor proficiency at all, neither any class feats/abilities to reduce spell failure chance in armor, so the additional AC your get from DEX is very useful (unless you play on a low difficulty level and have no real threats to you anyways).

Damage is the same as with strength as long as you are actually using Spell Combat, and if you do not want to use Spell Combat and get more damage from strength, you could also just play an other class instead. :tobdog:

STR with some DEX

Str with 2hander.

Higher damage means dimension strike and other class specific attack bonuses are more effective.

I played this build on Hard without completely min maxing and ac wasn't an issue, so maybe can tank unfair too.

STR, with 13 or 14 DEX. You will have lower AC by few points, but way bigger damage and accuracy.

Dex is best.

A Str build means using armour, having to take a fighter level for armour proficiency just messes up your build.

Why not use an Armored Battlemage if you want to go strength.

STR saint is better. Let Bismuth tank for you while you focus on dealing damage (which is what saint is about).

Cause you go without armor even as STR Saint. It will end up doing more damage and it will have more AB and for that STR Saint will trade cca 4-7 AC (depending on starting DEX).

Sword Saints excel at dishing out punishing levels of damage. You can do a lot more damage with strength with significantly less investment in feats than with dexterity. Build a vivisectionist if you're looking for a dodgy damage dealer.

Damage is not even close to the same as STR vs dex lol. Since spell combat is wasted on a SS. You do not want to be casting spells on combat on a class that already has very limited spell slots. This is really a bad habit people seem to think since SS has both spell combat and spellstrike that they should be using them. They are a buff and burn alpha striker, not a magus with a little bit more damage.
