Damn Horse armor

So i got this horse armor. And my ♥♥♥♥♥ paladin has horse companion. I have no clue how to equip that damn horse with armor. I appreciate anyone explain this to me where to find horse management similiar to character inventory if it exist at all........Definetly wish to retrain my ♥♥♥♥♥ paladin way that he not gonna get any horse so many problems.

At the very bottom of your Paladin's portrait there's a smaller health bar. Click on that. It will show the horse's portrait. Select it and press I (to open the inventory). There's a lot of stuff you can have animal companions equip, so make sure to do that regularly.

Just as important, the animal companion needs the correct armor feat to wear the armor (light, medium, heavy armor). And you have to have the preceding level of armor in order to purchase the next tier, ie you cannot take the heavy armor feat for an animal companion without having to purchase light then medium. And, because the stat bonuses for level for animal companions are completely borked up (and have been since Kingmaker) armor ends up being pretty pointless since the animal will have a pretty high dex bonus and a simple mage armor spell + the animals dex bonus will probably exceed any armor + dexterity bonus to ac.

Yes I finally found it bless you for providing me this aid since game itself could not. Tutorials for everything not what i need thought... Anyways armor is for me mainly about looking good. Shame horse skills havent something like carry more weight instead of brewing potions. Also pretty weird that only one class of horse has possibility to wear armor.

You can pick up the Barding (wear armor) Feat with any Horse class. Bulwark just gets light and medium armor prof. for free (others classes get other bonus feats)
Strengh determines carry capacity, so Buffing Strengh (and size increase spells which also increase strengh) provides you with more room to carry your loot around. (The strengh bonus of your whole party is added together for the party-wide inventory capacity)

Small tip. Put +2 int item on your horse, at least while levelling up. That would allow it to keep getting STR or CON and to take advanced feats (unarmed and crane style) and teamwork feats like outflank and shake it off.
