Lost a General after Lost Chapel!? and Item Q
After leaving the Lost Chapel I am missing one of my 3 Generals ( Mage/Archer/Soldier ) I had been leveling them all ( Lvl4 at 10k each ) - thats a big XP loss if I was only supposed to have 2 generals at this point. Luckily enough was not the one with the Majority of troops, was that supposed to happen?? If I had 1 or 2 would of lost 1 then too?

I have found a pair of gloves, that gives you a buff if you ANNOUNCE a QUARRY, there is no activating icon when you put them on? or is that a Class skill?

Thanks Steve.

Is this Act 2? Because they might just be buried under an army that spawns after clearing the Chapel. Nothing in the game is supposed to outright dismiss a general, the closest thing would be having them unassigned at the start of Act 5. If they're actually gone, then it's a bug. Alt+B to file a report, and roll back to a previous save if you have one. Worst case, you can just carry on to Drezen, the Crusade becomes easier with Act 3 and you're better able to farm.

Quarry is a class skill, specifically on Slayer and some Ranger archetypes. There's not that much class-specific gear in the game, but the Big Game gloves are one of them. You'll soon have access to a Slayer companion that can use them if you can't right now.

Can you load a earlier save? It sounds like you lost them in the gargoyle attack not Lost Chapel itself. This quest is kind of like the suicide mission from Mass Effect 2 where you must pick the right combination of party member and tactics to avoid massive casualties to your crusader army. Looting anything before you kill the boss will also result in casualties. I know it causes your in-game units to die but it would not surprise me if your generals are also at major risk. The safest combination you can do to minimize any losses to zero is Sosiel - Stay together in the quick time event and not looting a single thing in the swarm caves until AFTER the boss and other enemies are dead.

Yes it is Act 2 .. After the Gargoyle attacked your camp and you have to go to the Lost Chapel, I checked the saved game before I headed back to the Camp and the general was there ( armies 1 2 3 ). On completing the Lost Chapel only armies 2 and 3 are listed. I do not really want to do the whole of Lost Chapel again, to find out it happens again.. tried loading the saved game before speaking to the group and being able to leave Lost Chapel itself.. still gone :(

Thanks for replying

@ Darken No, the general was still present just prior to heading back to camp ( had just finished Heavens Edge, was heading back to rest to go to Underground Hideout ).

Update:

I clicked on the RECRUIT Button, and created a 1 Person army, and went to assign a New General and my General was present but had a 3 Day Timer underneath. I skipped 3 days and she was available to assign ( no cost ). Never lost a fight before, does this happen then? A injury timer or something?

well i now know she available again in 3 Days .. So Phew!! :)

Did you remove her from an army?

Anything that removes a general from their army (for example, the army being wiped out) will cause that 3-day timer to occur.

I know that there are some events that can cause an army to lose troops (such as the actions you take while doing Leper's Smile). I suppose if the army is small enough, that could potentially remove the army. And whenever a general is removed from an army, it gets that timer.

No to the removal

Yes .. she only had a Small army ( 8 person Dwarf unit that I discovered after a fight ). Bulk of my army was with another General ( last one that went after a Demon army ) both the other 2 just have holding units ( the other has a 11 person ranger unit ), that at present not worth using.

So guess the Dwarf unit died during the Lost Chapel incident...
