Arcane Rider Mount: Beast Rider Dip

Any opinion on what a good pet would be for an arcane rider magus besides a horse? A smilodon seems viable since the pet benefits from D strike but im thinking a wolf is just the be all end all possibly.

Mastadon seems to have “reach” range (going by my Sosiel) and I heard Triceritops might be similar.

Now that “gore” trips as well let’s like Boars are pretty awesome as well.

The raptors have an unusually high CHA stat which can be useful as a non-mount scroll reader or other fun stuff like that…

While I like wolves thematically higher STR + higher natural armor (iirc) make dogs very good. Mechanically I prefer them to wolves.
