It's very dissapointing to be honest. You get some stats, a dragon form, a breath weapon and a bigger hd for your spells, which from what I know, was bugged at least to some degree.
It's not a very complex path. Go with whatever, since you'll be equally dissapointed no matter what you choose, lol. (honestly don't go GD)
1) Gold Dragon fixes your BAB at 25 and boosts magical dice rolls to D10 (So a 1/2 BAB class will immediately have >= Lv 20 Fighter BAB and improved blasting)
2) Gold Dragon fixing your stats to 18 minimum is good for MAD classes. (Esp those that give INT / WIS / CHA modifiers to martial stats)
That said...
#1 is mitigated since you don't get a mythic spell book at all. WTF? At least let us maintain the prior spell book like Legend... Furthermore improving caster level and DC bypass is typically more powerful than increasing to D10s.
#2 MAD classes tend to be martial hybrids that get minimal benefit from fixed 25 BAB. If you don't want an AWFUL chapter 1-4 then you will likely already have most of your stat needs met. Especially as by the time you get to Gold Dragon >18 through buffs is expected.
Addendum: I will say that the overt defensive immunities are pretty nice tho. Barring Baphomet you should have buffs on that simulate those immunities anyways but still...
A cool idea: Reformed Fiend.
(with that said, yes, GD does need some buffs, but that's why Toybox exists!)
