Attribute cap?
Looking at purchasing this, just curious if there's a cap on attributes like strength dex and such?

If you're coming from D&D editions where there's a soft cap of 20 on attributes, no, that doesn't exist in Pathfinder.

In theory? No.

In practice, there are only so many buffs you can stack.

It's Bufffinder.

Sounds like there isn't a hard cap on it. Thank you guys for the reply.

Rule is for increasing stats: if it comes from a different source it stacks. So an enhancement bonus stacks with a morale bonus stacks with an insight bonus stacks with etc. etc. etc. This goes for anything aside from Dodge bonus to AC. That always stacks with itself.

There is a vendor item, a sickle, that used to give +2 to a random stat for every hit. You could stack those indefinately for as long as you had the patience to hit one of your characters. It was obscenely broken, but I beleive it was patched out. I havent tried it in many months.

I forget its name, but i believe the black mask sells it. It would stack, until your character died.

Be better off using Toybox to add +10 to the stats and then save you the headache. If you're going to abuse something best be favorable all the way. I remember the Witch island in Pillars of Eternity 2 where you could get +2 to all your stats by trial and error. It would last for 2 rests. So whenever I got to that point in the game I just gave my MC +2 to all stats with the editor. I sure as hell will not waste my time going to that island every time I rested twice. I will roleplay that I have and save myself the pointless real time spending to do it. End results is the same sans the headache.
I see the carrying capacity overflow bug (arguably*) is still there :LaughingOwlcat:

So yeah, there is a technical cap for Strength that overflows the data type of carrying capacity (i.e., it goes into negatives), thus immobilizing the character and preventing party travel.

* - whether 130 Strength can be legitimately achieved is an exercise left to the reader.

It's a bug that has existed since launch, but the conditions for triggering it are too bizarre for it to be of actual practical use in most cases.

not at all. At least not in rules.

The developers might have something that limits excessive scores.

There might also be a graphical error on the stat sheet if you go too high, as they aren't really designed for 3+ digit stats...
