How do you get through act 1 without dying of boredom?
So i love this game.
But act 1 is really boring.
I dont even read the dialog anymore i just move on auto pilot.
And even on story mode it takes to long to get to drezen where the fun starts.

So how do you get through pre-drezen without dying of boredom?
The fights arent fun, most of your class feature's arent unlocked yet and you die the momeny there is a strong wind.*

*Wizard problems.

That doesnt solve spending 4+ hours moving through cultist infested city with boring fights.

I put the difficulty on the lowest setting possible (not the preset, but custom), leave it on real-time, and just watch everything explode.

I'm personally only bored of the pre-Defender's Heart portion. I actually quite like Kenabres with it's low- but not beginner-level encounters.

Thankfully, the early parts/levels of WotR are rather short and easy. I've been trying to watch Cohhs Kingmaker playthrough on YT but holy crap the beginning of that game seems like the most boring chore ever.

Well I have probably have had 50 or so playthroughs, give or take. I delete a character each time I'm done, so suffice to say I've done Act 1 about 50 times, I feel its many more times that number though.

How do I get through act 1 without being bored? Fiddling with the difficulty can help. Some classes suck early on, so its a horrible idea to do unfair with them. Other classes are way to easy early on, so bumping it up to unfair helps there. Sometimes a class just hits that sweet spot, and you can do a solo run. Then you have that combination that might be a god, so you do a solo unfair run.

If I was someone else though, how would I get through act 1 without dying of boredom. Well I'd probably focus on different classes that come with pets I guess.

Act 1 has a lot of different outcomes. Are you evil? Are you going to kill wolfjits friends and family infront of him? Did you threaten to kill horgus, and watch Camelia defend him to the death? Did you abonden Nenio to her fate? Did you kill Ember?

Are you good? Did you encourage the queen to help? Did you choose to assist poeple for free? Did you heal and take care of a drow female? Did you tell wenduag to take a hike?

Theres so much going on. If you dont enjoy it, dont read/ do it. I lost track of how much time i have played this game, but I can gaurentee you that I have never read the story teller. If I have earlier on, I dont remember it at all. You can totally enjoy one aspect and not like others. If you dislike all aspects, you should probably take a break from the game.

Didnt knew you could do that.
It seems so wasteful to me to even consider those options.

Also I tend to pick a different general every playthrough.

solo chapter 1 with exp share off, you can get like 10 level ups in it, most fun chapter for me because character progression is so fast

but ya after reading dialog once i also skip it

ya, depending on how many skillchecks you succeed you might need to do some additional randoms encounter here and there from moving on worldmap and resting in an location, but solo they give good exp so even these become less of an annoyance

Until level 7 it's fast, after that it falls off pretty quickly.

Skip reading all story content and just use the game encounters as a testing ground for classes.
