Dual throwing axes build suggestions.
Decided to start my first playthrough over with some changes to my main character.
She's gonna be angel mythic route, but other than that I have no real requirements. I was thinking fighter since they get a lot of feats, but I'm not familiar with the system enough to know what other classes are worth dipping into.
I'll probably be playing easy or normal, so buffing wont be a requirement for the success of my party.

Definitely some fighter, imo. Throwing axe is a unique weapon type because it can double-dip fighter's weapon training: Weapon Training(Axes) and Weapon Training(Throwing Weapons). (Any other weapon type can only benefit from one, afaik.)

Additionally, if you then equip Gloves of Dueling their effect applies to BOTH of these Weapon Trainings for some massive throwing axe bonuses. :)

mutation warrior or demonslayer are pretty good and pretty easy to play

So I'll get both bonuses by picking up both Weapon Trainings?

I've heard a lot of buzz around Mutation warrior but never tried them. Might give them a go, thanks!

Care to elaborate? Just a single dip level or full lvls into it?

Sohei is one of the best throwers in the game, since monk can get flurry of blows with throwing wpns. Once you hit wpn training select throwing wpns.

It has a huge bonus to inaitive, it also comes with a pet (horse) and gets several bonus feats.

While I dont really like the horse, a full lvl 20 sohei is an absolute beast of an axe thrower. I think you get around 16 attacks per round, and you go first. Meaning you can get 32 shots off before the enemy can even do anything to you.

Sounds interesting, very promising. Would you put the Sohei on the horse? And do ranged attacks from that?

In general I dont ride pets as a range attacker. You can ride it if you wanted to, but most of the time its best to just let your animal companions go do thier thing on the front line. Its extra damage/ tank. Even if the horse isnt great at either.

Monks also get a few other bonuses.

An extra ability to give you an additional attack, works with throwing axes.

Make sure you utilize all your extra stuff on difficult encounters.

having pet access is usually really good, but man if sohei had non it would be a much stronger dipping class for fighter builds

You could also go with Freebooter Ranger instead of Fighter if you aren't taking that on one of your NPCS, they have some great buffs to hand out by level 4. Just because Wenduag is stuck as a Fighter doesn't mean you are (not that it's a bad choice for you, just that it's not a choice for her at all...).

Hi there

I build one with bloodrager; you will get some barbarian stats, some spells (like haste), and some of the bloodline abilities...you may want to check on those. So effective so far.

Hope this help
Have fun

Honestly just look up Wenduag's builds.
thre are enough of those going with throwing axes.
ofc you don't have to follow it to the letter but should help you figure out how to build your new champion

Thanks a lot for all the the replies. I've made it towards the end of Act 2 with dual throwing axes, and while the damage seems fine, it's not exactly what I imagined.
So I was hoping someone could suggest a build that's more active, which fits with the human angel mythic path? I was thinking something like a Druid Summoner, since I heard that summon nature allies are better than good-alligned monster summons. But then again, summons doesn't work as well with Angel path as with other paths right?

My companions are Seelah, Daeran, Nenio, Camellia and Lann (Might replace him with Aru when time comes.)

If you want to merge spellbooks, oracle has a lot of potential. Druid is fine, but the sword of heaven needs a couple of upgrades to work wiht summons (and even then there are better paths for it, like aeon or azata).
Then again, by just using the merged spellbook you can buff your summons to make them OP very quickly, plus you'll get an animal companion.

The funnest character I ever played on t his game, not even close, was a Sohei axe thrower (he was aoen though)

Divine casters make good angels, other then that, Angel isnt really that great.
