Failed on perception check
While reading the rune stones in the Wintersun, I figured out that I had failed a perception check. I could've fast save before it but I guess I was just exploring the map and didn't know what they are used to, I don't even know when it happened and because of this I cannot take items from "Heart of Stone". What can I do ?

Go on. As a matter of fact, I totally forgot about it, too. Or you can return once you level up.

Yea as steffan said all checks are per level basically. So when you gain a level you can redo these checks. At least that's how it's supposed to work.

If you're trying to get the components for the Ronnek's Sacrifice Boots, I think you have to make all the Knowledge World (not perception) checks on the Standing Stones, and I don't think you can retry a failure (not even when you go up a level).

Yes, I tried it after a level up but didn't work

If you are desperate, Toybox has a "reroll perception" button. Hit that while kinda near the stones and then go back into Perception skill check range, and it'll let you redo the entire skill check.

Depending on the specifics, however, it may not be a perception check: it might be one or more Knowledge World checks instead.

It should work if you have increased perception on that level. You do need to increase it.

If it's the standing stones then those are Knowledge: World and they can't be redone if failed initially. Not sure if those skill checks can be reset by Toybox without messing with etudes or something similarly complicated.

It's a good idea to cook the Moss Pottage meal (+3 to skill checks) before entering Wintersun, due to the large number of important skill checks. They're not terribly difficult, but you can't afford a single failure. I was lucky that I hadn't failed any of the Knowledge: World checks when I first learned about the importance of them (after my initial visit). Note that one of the Standing Stones is inside the cave.
You can't get the Storyteller to craft he boots until Act 4, which is your first opportunity to get the required Hide of a Magical Creature.

I think you even have to do them in the right order.

I don't know if I did them in that order, but I did succeed.
