Secret ending - No argument to talk

Hello guys,

Currently doing a secret ending run and something stranges happened. When during the talk with Areelu after her first phase, when i try to proove i'm her child, there is litteraly no option to convince her that is available it send me straight to combat.

I did the midnight bolt, the echo, the research, pulura, nice to suture, etc etc. But none of these option appear.

Any idea how to fix it ?

did you get the perception check in act 4 when first talking to areelu?

Did you visit the secret part of Areelu's Lab in act 5? There's some items to interact with there.

Note that to get into the secret area of Areelu's lab, you will need the Glass Key from Iz. This requires that you go to the Temple of Stone Manuscripts before fighting undead Terendelev, otherwise the Glass Key is destroyed.

Secret ending requires a ton of small things to happen in your playthrough. However, don't worry if you were unable to get them - there are plenty of other interesting endings there.

Yes guys this is not my first playthrough i did the secret lab again, all the dialogue check.
The ghost, the research, fire the bolt at begining, and many stuff likle 16-21 gorzan etc.

Still I have juste no argument available when confronting her that i'm her child. At this point if i assume correctly remember you should be able to give her argument and two outcome :

1) You have not gathered enought evidence.
2) You have enough evidence.

But i have not the opportunity to even says one thing, it jump straight to another stuff.

Did there was a hard requirement for the dialogue to pop ?

This is just going to be copy-pasted from another guide online, so I haven't tested all the requirements:

Hard requirements
- Not Legend.
- Pass a perception check while talking to Areelu in Chapter 4. To get this options, Suture needs to be alive. In the dialogue, you need to choose "What are you doing here, Areelu? And with the Suture in tow." during the first dialogue option in that exchange. The perception check follows selecting "Why was that whole ploy with the lab necessary? You even sacrificed your servant, the Suture, for it." and unlocks an option that begins with "Look at that, I actually provoked a reaction...." Selecting that option gets the etude. (PlayerKnowsThatAreeluCaresAboutStitch)
- Persuade her by selecting dialogue corresponding to five of the seven soft requirements below (AreeluPersuasionCounter)
- Have put together the Lexicon of Paradox either via skill checks or using the blank page from the Storyteller (TE_LexiconTrue)
- Performed the Studying the Unusual Crystal research in crusade mode. Getting the decree requires having a fresh crystal(?). (TE_FreshCrystallProject)
- Performed the Areelu Vorlesh's Drafts research in crusade mode. Getting the decree requires claiming Areelu's research from the hidden library in her secret lab, which requires the glass key and the "Key" crystal from the library in Iz (you have to go to the library first if you want to get both). - Performed the Studying the Sword of Valor research in crusade mode. (TE_BannerProject)
- Choose the "You shouldn't have put your faith in your father." option when talking to Hepzamirah's ghost in the Ineluctable Prison after dealing with the Hand of the Inheritor. (TrueEnding_GreatPriestessSummon)
- Killed Echo of Deskari in Threshold. (EchoDeskariDead)
- Killed Deskari. Note, two variables are in the code for the corresponding line, but I believe that fighting Deskari in Threshold is mutually exclsuive with fighting the Echo, so while it checks the Threshold variable you won't be on the secret end route if you fight him in Threshold due to other conflicts. (TE_DeskariKilledInThreshold or DeskariKilledInIz)
- Performed the Records of Pulura's Stargazers research in crusade mode. Requires having recovered the records from Pulura's Falls. For angels I've seen people say you get it in Chapter 3, but I cannot confirm. For everyone else, the research can only be done if Mutasafan is stopped from escaping in Chapter 5 since he takes the records with him if he escapes. (TE_PuluraProject)
- Month is 4 and Day is 15-21, year is not checked
- Have a Midnight Arrow, Fresh Crystal, or the Crystal Dagger on you

Maybe it's too late to help you, but there is a chance that someone will see it in a future. So, if you done everything right, but still have no arguments, it means that bug appeared, and your character don't know that Stitch is important for Areelu. To fix this you should open Toybox -> Etudes -> PlayerKnowsThatAreeluCaresAboutStitch -> start. It will start script that allow you to continue dialogue with her and ascend. I had a same problem, and in russian fanbase this bug is well-known and Owlcat said how to fix it.

Yeah, on top of being convoluted, the process is very buggy. I am having the same problem. I literally followed a guide, and triple checked the etudes listed in that reddit guide at this point and still no option to prove I am child. It's very frustrating as that was the primary goal of this run, and there is clear thing that was done wrong.

Game has it's share of bugs so I'm not surprised. Other than using Toy Box mod to try and fiddle with quest/character/story flags I can't think of anything else.

That's what I have been trying to do. It would be interesting to know if someone had a known good save if it still worked (starting just before you have to justify yourself) in the latest version. That way I can know it's not completely bugged and is something to do with my save.
