Cultist Evoker just cast 27 magic missiles in a row
It's an early battle where that Recruit says "Hey i know you" and the cultist talks him into joining. The evoker just decimated my whole part. Is this working as intended?

You're using Toy Box and enabled "Infinite actions per turn", yeah?

lol no, what is that? The invoker is only a level Wizard I think, doesn't that mean they only get 2 or 3 missiles at that level? Also was in turn based mode if that helps.

Are you using any mods at all?

EDIT: I misunderstood the thread. I thought the caster was using all these spells on the same turn. Never mind, then.

Many enemies have infinite spell slots, you just rarely notice it. It was the same in Kingmaker. I remember that one conjurer when the tech league tries to take you as slaves, and he will cast summon monster every turn until he dies. If you don't kill him fast, you'll be drowning in summoned wolves. It's hilarious to see like 10+ summoned wolves at like lvl3 or something stupid lmao.

There is another one like that in WotR, early on a summoner that is behind a few other mooks but in another room. I had him summon up about 20 wolves before I could carve my way through to him.

I agree and disagree with this topic. I have seen infinite spells from enemies, and I use no mods. However I disagree with the premise here.

I have faced off vs a cultist who used magic, he would cast all his spells then start running into combat. If I were to run away and end combat, going back into combat he casts all his spells again. This process could be repeated indefinately.

However, Ive never actually seen them have infinite spells in 1 combat session, they have always run out from what I've seen. I havent had much time to play though since this new patch came out.

i guess its just there way to show you the true power of the cultists.
Maybe the hero should have become a loyal believer of Baphomet after all. xD

Well that kind of ruins turn based mode for me. I'm done with it. Next battle I just grouped rushed the evoker and he/she was dead in 2 seconds.

In general, whether finite or infinite spell slots, "Kill the casters ASAP" is standard procedure for any fight in a pathfinder-based game. Enemy casters have a huge advantage, even if they don't cheat, that they can unload all of their spell slots, spell like abilities, etc. in a single fight because they don't have to worry about facing another five groups of adventurers before they get to rest. You're the only combat they're going to have all day, and even a totally legit wizard or sorcerer is going to have quite a lot of slots to do stuff with.

PC casters, on the other hand, need to gauge the utility of using a spell in a current fight versus having the spell for a future fight.

You can either deal with them with ranged dmg or melee dmg with charge. Lann with some ranged class that has a pet is extremely useful for dealing with casters. Just give him a longbow and turn off point blank shot. 3 levels Zen Arch rest hunter/ranger

But in turn based there's nothing you can do. It's the evokers turn and she just goes Pew, Pew, Pew, Pew, 37 times and because it's turn based you just sit back and watch your whole party and the plot critical NPCs and their army get slaughtered all in one turn. I just can't believe this is working as intended. So am just sticking to real-time pause now. She died in two hits in real time...

Same thing is happening now in the attack on Defenders of the Heart. I went into turn based mode to control the chaos a bit better and an Arsonist had his turn. He kept lobbing Alchemist fire after alchemist fire until nearly all of the 12/12 structures were destroyed. In ONE turn, lol

Obv a bug. Stop using it, the game wasn't built for it in the first place. Defending the Inn is stupid easy anyways, just use Grease and Pit spells on the spot where they spaw and they won't do anything.

Yeah I'll stick to real time for now. By Chaos I meant that huge Demon at the end just one shotted my main Ranger lol I didn't have him positioned too well as we were just steamrolling everything up til that point.
