Is the Lich path worth playing?
As stated in the title:
I have heard some pretty bad things about the Lich mystic path so I want people opinions on if it is worth playing or not.

Yes. The undead transformation has some drawbacks, but overall it's a flexible and powerful path. Plus the plot is rather interesting for necromancy lovers.

It is a CRPG - so if You like to be an evil undead so go for it. Like is Trickster wort playing? Absolutely for the hilarious music, council and crusade decisions AND busted abilities:)

Depends. What are you looking for? State your desire and I(we) will evaluate it.

Full arcane caster Lich Necromancy specialist is worth playing just to understand how bad the school of Necromancy is in this game.

You will want to pull your hair out chasing terrified enemies with fear being your only good crowd control tool.

Im playing motherless scaled fist strength monk liche path with decaying touch its very powerful . Ive got like 5 attacks , a bite, gore (from demon path) and gore helmet. I'm hitting for like 50 or 60 a lot of the time it feels really strong.

I understand that you can refuse to sacrifice your youth and prevent all these terrible nerfs to your physical abilities so I'm hoping thats still the case.

Monk liche is powerful with mage armor and all the other unique buffs you get from Liche. Its been pretty fun delemere is very good , staunton can be salvaged with a vital strike build. I'm not so sure about cairn yet.

Yeah fear is horrible. I know someone here advocates how awesome it is, but it is terrible. Repurpose though is A+ used to be annoying because you had only a split second to loot, but supposedly thats been fixed now. I haven't played one since that change went live.

I had a blast as a lich. With some multiclassing, i was a melee monster with plenty of spells to back me up. Mostly buffing, but since lich spells quite often have no saves, you can use them against the more annoying stuff.

Lich is very strong, it is one of the most powerful mythic paths, slightly behind Angel.

I'm doing Lich right now and it is very fun although I've yet to get some of the later powers, the undead allies are seemingly a bit underwhelming, I know it's a bit much to expect them to be full on party members but still, I'd like if instead of the skeletal champion companion you could choose one of the undead allies to accompany you in it's place.

The Lich mythic path is very strong, it's just that the actual Lich transformation late in the game feels very bad. You strive towards the transformation throughout the whole game and then, in the end, this big moment just makes you lose character power.

It is quite awful to have to choose whether to accept reduction in power in order to finish the Lich story, or to retain the power but not being able to finish the Lich path.

I remember in BG2 when i encountered Lich it was impossible to beat - weapon immunity for weapons less than +5, insane protections, op level 9 spells like time stop and maze. And after DemiLich form was defeated there was its real forms to tackle.

If here Lich would get these powers after transformation (immunity to all weapons less than +5, maze and timestop spells, and two different forms) then we would be talking yes:)

Hell yes!

Lich is my favorite of all the Paths, and by a giant margin... you become an unbelievably powerful arcane caster, you get a lot of new companions, pretty cool story/dialogue options... right now I'm doing Demon, and while that one has its highlights too, I'm constantly missing playing as my Lich.

Is there a world for the good old Chaotic Evil Gnome Illusionist sorcerer to go for a lich path?:) Gnome gets +1 to Illusion spells DC and a curious feat to add+2 to caster level to shadow spells

A silly question, but why would a CL matter for Conj / Evo, the schools that Shades line targets? Idk, DC seems more important here.
