Has ANYONE solved a Slab Puzzle Recently?
Some time in the past few months, the method of Slab manipulation was changed. In a previous playthrough (ending in February), I solved all of the Slab puzzles, but now I'm completely stuck.

In Forgotten Secrets, I was unable to change the orientation of one slab 180 degrees (clicking on the tool did nothing), and at Final Veil, one slot is shown a filled on the screen, but clicking on Select Slab shows it empty. I reported both via Alt-B.

Sometimes, rotating the camera causes a placed slab to change orientation.

Nope. I don't mind puzzles but those stupid slab ones I've left completely alone. If it costs me Nenio, I don't care.

That series of puzzles can go all the way to hell and i'm half tempted to use Toybox to set that quest to 'Completed' status.
About last week while replaying act 5 - did msot of them and without single issue.

You used to be able to control the orientation by choosing which of two possible spaces you clicked on. But now it doesn't seem to work that way, and I've found the rotate tool to not work sometimes.

My last playthrough, on the 4th slab puzzle, I finally got the rules that lead to the correct answer. Figuring out those rules is the real puzzle, because once you get them the peices just kinda fall into place on their own. There are only three rules to the puzzle patterns:

1.) All tiles must be placed, which should be obvious.
2.) Adjacent tiles must have the same symbol touching, like with dominos.
3.) The periphery tiles indicate columns or rows that MUST have exclusively those tiles in them, and in that order.

Absolutely nowhere is this mentioned in game, and almost no guides out there even attempt to explain how the puzzle works, only give screenshots to the solution. That's the failing on Owlcat's part, no indication or clues to what the solution is until you already have the finished puzzle in front of you.

I just used online screenshots to solve them previously; now I can't get the slabs into the right orientations. And one of my slabs is stuck (Final Veil): I can't even pick it up again.

I've figured out how to solve the puzzles now. The orientation of the symbols doesn't matter; all that matters is that adjacent tiles have the same symbol touching. I was trying to get the orientation of the symbols to match the solution screenshots, which is not necessary.

I did go back to a fresh start for the Final Veil puzzle, before a tile got stuck.

I understand you now -you talk about orientation of the symbol only and NOT the slab (so actually you never had issue turning the slab).

Well I did not hesitated over this for a second even with older picture guides and as the description of rules above - yes also got those rules and they work so if the puzzle wont trigger I am able figure out what is wrong myself.

Only thing I still dont get are two different colors on tile, did not found any relevant rule to it.

The last bit about order is incorrect. For example, if that was the case the Final Veil puzzle would be setting an impossible condition in the right-most column. The peripheral symbols only indicate the set of unique symbols in the row/column, not the order of them.
