I didn't want to use any cheats because it has been ingrained in my head that "cheating is bad and you shouldn't cheat" by people and devs and has been punished by the devs (not owlcat devs in general) for cheating in a single player game.
But after saying out loud "frag it im using cheats. Im not having fun and I skip this ♥♥♥♥" it clicked in my head "why the hell AM i punishing myself for wanting to use cheats to make a game fun for myself."
Some people like yourself understand that but for people like me we either have to be told "cheating is fine as long as if it isn't PvP" or have it click that cheating is fine before we get that who gives a ♥♥♥♥ what i do its MY game and im not effecting anyone else.
Its not worth projecting how others think onto yourself. Someone may disagree with mods and refuse to use them, and still not care if you use them. There are several poeple here that refuse to use mods, I am one of them. Why would I care though if you use them, you arent less of a person if you do.
You do you.
I dont have an issue with what you said, how you feel about the game is entirely up to you. I just didnt understand how the topic was related in anyway. Makes more sense now that your looking for a mod to get rid of elements of the game you dont like.
Toybox especially is more of a useful debug tool that can help you to weather through quest bugs. Or provide alternate respect services should Hilor bite the dust. But its possible applications go way that as well. Pretty much an essential asset for a lot of reasons.
One thing I gotta ask.. the only time limit in the game (during act 1) is basically impossible to fail by accident. A soldier appears and offers to teleport you to the tavern. Why are you complaining about the time limit?
I've done three playthroughs and have hit zero time limits
I do use toybox to reset skill and spell uses after battle since I play on max difficulty and having lvl 4 characters get hit that hard consistently, repeatedly just isn't feasable
But yeah for a no-multiplayer game who cares what you do?
A time limit is more than a clock telling you have X time limit before game over
A time limit is like act 2 and 3.
You have retake the city soon. how long i got? Figure it out. You took too long you scrub. You wasted to much time, resources, and man power to take the city.
Complete the missions in city and beat back the demons. what mission are more important? figure it out. WHAT!? Hey you beaten the ivory keep, so we started the count down timer for the next act. WAIT WHAT!? BUT I GOT OTHER QUESTS TO COMPLETE STILL! Tough ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck you got one month. Reloads a save deleting hours of progress
Players like you and me forget that games we love to play always aren't made for other players no matter what people like to say. I love RTS games because like managing things in real time. other people don't because they can't keep up with all the notification and events happening without a pause (if you can pause your game its not RTS yes im that much of an RTS purest.). I don't like CoD and BF (Not BF:BC2 that is the ♥♥♥♥) games outside the story mode because i don't have the time to deal with hackers or try hards. Other people don't even notice those games even have a story mode.
No-one forces you to enter Midnight Fane ASAP.
After the queen arrives you can make her majesty wait for as long as you want.
And act 2 has huuuge excess of free time.
Compared to a speedrun, a normal player has over a month of extra time.
You have a total of 50 or 60 days iirc to do act 2.
And it's not a hard limit, the only penalty is the queen will be less satisfied with you.
But in my test she still gave me the full reward so it changed nothing.
