How exactly do Shamans imbue their weapons with elemental damage?
I've seen a lot of talk about shamans and elemental barrage, and that with an elemental spirit, a shaman can permanently imbue his weapon at level 11. This sounds fun, but I cannot for the life of me see where this is on the character sheet. Level 11 doesn't seem to give anything besides a regular feat. I also don't see anything listed under the spirit features that would grant this power. Is it a mythic ability? Was it removed? I don't want to play 11 levels of shaman to find out my build doesn't work anymore.

I get the impression that Elemental Barrage no longer works with weapon enhancements.

Elemental Barrage only works whit spells now.

The Wind spirit adds lightning damage to weapons at...level 10 or 12, I think?

Some of the others probably do the same but I never really used shamans much because Camellia is...well, Camellia.

And yes, Elemental Barrage has been heavily nerfed (mostly a good thing, the way it let certain builds outperform anything else by a huge margin was pretty silly) and will no longer work with weapon enchants or any other source of elemental damage other than spells.

Oh dang...well so much for the two hours I spent working on that build! Thanks for the responses. As far as Camellia, well, let's say she doesn't fit into my group for RP reasons heh.

Isn't she "Helpful"?

Elemental Barage is a mythical ability yes. You can select it at mythic rank 1, but like the others here have said it no longer works with weapon enchants. So classes like Magus, Warpriest and Spirit Hunter Shaman no longer get the benefit from this ability. This breaks a lot of their dps, because enemies are resistant to most elements at least a little so all those elemental buffs on weapons now do 0 damage. Which wasn't an issue before because even if they did 0 damage they would still count to proc Elemental Barage.

I honestly feel worse for the Dragonheir Scion class. Which is a gimped fighter class that doesn't get a whole lot of good stuff. It loses out way more than it gains. But it did get the inate elemental damage on weapon attacks which would allow to proc Elemental Barage. Picking Dragonheir Scion is now completely pointless unless you really want to be a fighter and want to be a dragon at the same time. Which sounds cool, but is a lot weaker than a stock fighter. Better off picking Primalist with a Dragon bloodline.
