So forced Reality still doesn't work?
I tried to use it to remove a exhausted condition on one of my allies who was standing close to me, but it didn't even try to dispel it, its exhaustion as a result of a spell, it has a 8 minute duration.

Force reality has only ever worked for ongoing illusion effects, the most common of which are Mirror Image and the Invisibility spells. It's not a blanket dispel that can affect any spell condition, and it falls off quickly after Act 2 anyway. Dispel DC's get too high for it to ever work later on, since it scales off of your Mythic level rather than caster level.

However, that path does give you Rectify State at MR2, which can be used to remove exhaustion, paralysis, or any other condition with a successful check. That one remains useful through the game.

It's a shame how important but useless Dispel is. Frustrating.

One annoyance I've had with Rectify State is that it only works on friendlies, and one thing I'd really LOVE to be able to dispel is Dominate.

Also, that other spell that's supposed to target only hostile effects STILL wipes buffs.

Dispel isn't useless if you build right.

I believe the description for forced reality specifically says that it only works on illusions, so yeah not gonna work on exhausted due to a spell. Also not sure any kind of dispel will work on that? I mean exhausted is a real condition, sure it was a spell that caused the exhaustion, but the spell effect is probably already over and only the exhaustion is left.

I agree, Though that can be said for a great deal of things in this game.

I see my mistake, the lv 2 ability is a seperate ability, i thought it was just a new ability forced reality itself got.

Dispel is one of the most OP spells if built towards it: Expanded Arsenal (Abjuration) + Disruptive Dispel + Dispel Synergy and you will turn even the late game bosses into powerless beings.

Yeah I think you're right about that. The exhaustion isn't an ongoing magical condition, it's a natural condition that happened to result from magic. The magic itself is already done and dusted though; it's not still there maintaining the exhaustion (in game terms, the spell itself isn't still in the list of effects on the character) so there's nothing to dispel.

Probably all seems a bit rules-lawyerish, but it's in a similar vein to level or stat drain, or even the damage from a fireball.

Or if you merge spellbook.
I used Angel with Greater Dispell in Excess on Hard and it failed once, againts the Darkness, and I had nothing else to boost it.

Angel is so busted that after you pick it on divine caster the game is over - time to start a new run

nope, if that were true the exhausted condition would be permenant and unremovable unless your naturally rest, as we've shown rectify state can remove it which itself is just a targeted dispel magic.
