Only official hid id gamepads are implemented in majority of games.
Everything else falls under generic and that means Xbox
You would need to provide details of your gamepad to owl and ask for support.
DS4windows has some support for 3rd party dualshocks. I strongly suggest u give it a go. It can emulate as DS4 v1

you will also need to use their feature "rename exe" because steam by default blocks ds4windows

The universal solution to this issue is for the developers to simply add a manual controller prompt switching option to the game. Really hard to understand why all devs don't do this, it will save them a lot of issues and requests, such as this thread.
And yes.
Ultimate solution to gamepad button prompts is to add Button icon choice switch to game.

Owl might not even be aware of the idea. Or maybe they are but cant i dont know how versatile is unity for such stuff
