One of the early baddies doesn't spawn and the game softlocks because it won't let you leave the level till they're dead.
The DLC is just a waste of money at the moment.
If you're looking for something new to play today I've been playing the demo for Capes, a turn based superhero strategy and I think it's promising. The demo is only three levels and the game's not coming out till 2023 but it has some really neat mechanics and is a few hours of free entertainment. It's by the team that did Hand of Fate and has one of the Freedom Force writers.
Or if you don't mind something old TROUBLESHOOTER scratches the "Build characters in an enormously complicated build system" itch nicely (though you need to get a fair few hours in for it to unlock all of its systems, it's somewhat backloaded) and the people making it are super dedicated (and bizaarely made the first DLC free despite everyone being willing to pay for it).
Cross my fingers I don’t run into any major issues, mainly just want to test builds and become familiar with all the things before diving further into the main game.
Patch fixed it for me, I had issues with some island and just had to go exit and come back and boss appeared, as a dev told in another post.
Could finish the first run entirely, and I am now in the second run.
