ACT 1 - between the first and the second visit to GG
ACT 2 - before Drezen
ACT 3 - before MF
ACT 4 - everything in A
ACT 5 - everything what's left before the final location
ACT 6 - the final location
They're kinda intuitive.
You can't, as far as I can tell.
It's poorly done. Not that I really care about acts. The only time the word 'act' pops up while playing this game is in these forums.
Never seen it in-game.
I have no idea what act I'm in and I think my characters are level 14 or 15 now.
Trapped in the Darkness = Prologue
Wardstone Legacy = Act 1
Sword of Valor = Act 2
The Fifth Crusade = Act 3
etc.
BTW: The acts aren't realy mentioned while playing. But they ARE in the Quest-log. (the red sandclock-icon mieans: "last act to solve, or it will fail".
You always have a main goal in an act: in the prologue, to reach the overworld again. In Kenabres, to conquer the Grey Garnison back. After that, to conquer Drezen back. And after that, to conquer all surrounding lands via crusade. (But I don't know, what the final area will be to end that act.)
I'm not further into the game, but I suppose, it continues that way.
