How do you tell which act you're in?
I see people mention act 1,2,3. How can you tell which act you're in? The save files don't mention it. I presume that act two starts with the victory at the grey garrison? Is the current act mentioned anywhere in game?

ACT 6 - the final location

They're kinda intuitive.

Great question.

You can't, as far as I can tell.

It's poorly done. Not that I really care about acts. The only time the word 'act' pops up while playing this game is in these forums.

Never seen it in-game.

I have no idea what act I'm in and I think my characters are level 14 or 15 now.

That's just common sense. When you finish big story piece or giant task, like taking drezen, act is ends

They're the global quests

Trapped in the Darkness = Prologue
Wardstone Legacy = Act 1
Sword of Valor = Act 2
The Fifth Crusade = Act 3

etc.

I wondered the same, when starting the game. But when you continue to play it, it becomes obvious. Everytime new game features apear, you have reached a new act. (at least until act 3, where I'm now.) Everytime you come to an area, which you can't leave but aren't subjected to corruption while resting, you're probably in the last stage of an act. (with the exception of the prologue, perhaps.)

BTW: The acts aren't realy mentioned while playing. But they ARE in the Quest-log. (the red sandclock-icon mieans: "last act to solve, or it will fail".
You always have a main goal in an act: in the prologue, to reach the overworld again. In Kenabres, to conquer the Grey Garnison back. After that, to conquer Drezen back. And after that, to conquer all surrounding lands via crusade. (But I don't know, what the final area will be to end that act.)

I'm not further into the game, but I suppose, it continues that way.
