Best Paladin DPS archetype?
I am guessing divine scion, for studied target and sneak attacks

Stonelord is nifty as heck. Even in its current iteration where Owlcat didn't give them their celestial earth elemental pal. I am still not over that one. *sigh*

Not quite Paladin. But recently Microscopic Content Expansion also added the Anti-Paladin class with Iron Tyrant and Knight of the Sepulcher as archetypes. Both are a different flair to the Expanded Content's Dark Knight take.
divine scion lose smite evil, mark of justice and divine bond

so i would say basic paladin is in most cases still better
Mmh, i was thinking about making a vital strike build with greatsword out of a paladin, and have a question: does vital strike apply to sneak attacks? It would be kinda nifty to stack mythical vital strike to them
Mark of justice is by far the strongest contribution a paladin can make to party-wide DPS against high-AC or high-DR bosses against whom you would otherwise struggle. So you need to think carefully, before rolling up your character, about whether you want the highest possible personal DPS against trash mobs or the highest possible party DPS against tough foes. Divine scion would give you the highest personal damage output over the course of the game but base paladin would best enable your party to overcome tough foes.

Basic paladin is the best option for a pure-class build.
All the archetypes lose too much in exchange for too little.
Noh, i was thinking base paladin 16/two handed fighter 3/scaled fist 1

So that i get overhead chop and the crane feats. Imho aura of righteousness and holy champion are not that great and you get smite evil use at 16 anyway.
Besides, the 2 bonus feats from the fighter come in handy

Divine Scion, more skills, Study Target, Sneak Attack, all while having full BAB.

Another question: do crane feats work with two handed weapons? I reckon that they should, according to pnp rules, but it seems they are not.
In facts, it looks like they are not working at all, as i don't see their effects under BAB tab
Crane Wing requires at least one hand free.

Uhm, but PNP says that switching from one handed to two handed is a free action, so it should work....no?
Also, i think it used to work like that in kingmaker

Never assume a similarity of function between PnP rules and what's coded here. As far as I remember, unless patched recently, the crane feats work no matter what (which is why we got Valerie with a tower shield and one level of scaled fist in every build).

Yeah, i thought so too. Crane style does, in facts, work. But i did a couple tests and crane wing does not, apparently
correct. basic crane works with any weapon combo. crane wing requires at least one hand free. even getting basic crane style is nice for a single level dip into scale monk.

as for non pure paladin builds, check into comboing with cavalier. double strength charges plus all the cav feats make a mounted paladin quite the force to be reckoned with.

check the mercenary paladin builds here:

simple, easy to play, great tanks and support.
