Through the Ashes add anything to main campaign?

Does completing or getting the DLC add anythign to the main story on current or new playthroughs? Or is the DLC completely self contained only? (i.e. previous DLC added a few extra items and new power you can get in main campaign)

So, yeah, I think that's it. Finish the DLC and you get a hat or something. I don't know what the specific item is or how it's acquired in the main campaign.

But there's also mention of future DLCs having the characters from this one reappear.

You get a wand that is useful in act 1 and maybe up to act 2. and the 4 NPCs you save, if they survive will be at the defender's heart chilling after the defense quest

"7-10 hours" is what appears in the description.

I wish I had known this before moving onto chapter 2 before playing it. Sigh. I wish these DLCs gave you instructions on when the play them, in narrative order.

says it will add stuff to "future DLC expansions" with expansions being plural despite being the 2nd of 3 season pass DLC.
